Wonderful staff, friendly, went the extra mile. Very clean rooms. Tiny shower stall, door security hardware needed fixing, no microwave. Traffic noise from the freeway. All together though, good enough and a good price.

Old run down, dirty rooms. If your vehicle is larger than a compact they want you to park on us 101 frontage road. Swamp next to rooms smells like sewage. And to top it all off there is a 3 inch gap under the door to my room. Sleeping in your car would be better than renting a room here

You're probably looking at this hotel because prices in the city are too steep. It's definitely not a 5 star property, but it's good for what you're paying for. It's a short drive to SF via Golden Gate Bridge (15 minutes) and Muir Woods (25-30 minutes). There's a few eating options nearby, mostly fast food, and a Safeway in case you need supplies. Also a couple of gas stations really close. The rooms are small and clean, there isn't a fridge, and the AC is the "swamp cooler" type but works well. It is DIRECTLY across the street from the freeway but the white noise from the AC drowns out the sound. The walls are kind of thin, so bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. As a place to base out of while visiting SF, it's a great deal! It's just not a hotel that you'll want to do much more than sleep, shower, or watch TV in. Seems safe enough and the surrounding area is nice, not a ghetto or anything (there's a Ferrari dealer 100 yards away). You get what you pay for, the Bay Area is expensive and this is probably the best lodging deal for the "save a buck" crowd. I'd stay there again!

Extremely poor experience checking in. Someone booked a room for me and gave their credit card number. Without them present they would not let me into the room but they insisted on charging a one-night cancellation fee. They can charge for not being here but not charge for being here. So I pay the room with another credit card and was allowed to stay. Now I am in the room which smells bad, has badly sustained and heavily warn carpet, chips and stains in the bathroom, and the shower door that won't shut. Definitely would not recommend Follow up - Travel Lodge has now charged both the original person's card and my card So instead of a single $357, they have charged $714. I now have to dispute the charges.

Doorknob fell off, couldn't fix. Got different room, no air conditioning. Beds weren't made one day. These rooms definitely need some "deep cleaning". Doesn't seem like enough parking for the amount of rooms. Would never stay there again.
