So City Bicycle Works is now Trek Bicycle Sacramento Midtown.  On one hand City Bikes was a landmark Sacramento business of which I was a steadfast patron.  On the other it was a declining Sacramento business losing touch with its customers.

My devotion to City Bikes dropped last year when I discovered Ben, my favorite salesperson, had left.  

Out of loyalty to City Bikes I attempted to boycott Trek.  But I finally dropped in and discovered Ben was back.  That told me all I needed to know.

I recently purchased a bike and of course Ben was helping me.  He’s a manager (big surprise).  Today I met Cindy, another manager.  She was just as helpful and accommodating.

Also, all staff (sales and mechanics) are professional and helpful.  The store is more streamlined and nicely arranged.

Trek is what City Bikes used to be.  And that’s high praise!

I have been to this store a few times now. It’s has changed for the better. Friendly, knowledgeable and patient staff ply their professionalism here. The repair shop is one of the best but the Trek, Stages, Giro etc product is well stocked and current.

The customer service and knowledge I received from Carly and the entire team here was absolutely fantastic. They went above and beyond to make sure that I got the right bike and equipment I needed without feeling any pressure to spend thousands of dollars like other bike shops in the area have done. I highly recommend coming here for any cycling needs, whether you're looking for something high end or just getting back into riding like I am. I know I will be coming back for years to come.

If you wanted to be treated like a star, this is the place to come for bikes, gear, advice, and good cheer. I tried to buy a new front derailleur for my ailing mountain bike...Stella asked if she could take a look and few minutes later, it worked perfected and she declined any payment (!??! Really? wow!) I just bought a new commuter bike and it has been a great experience start to finish. There are reasons I have been loyal to this store since 1991!

The stuff there is great! They're very friendly and helpful. Although only one brand it has all sort of bikes! Great store, highly recomend.
