Story

Located inside Kennewick Flower Shop, we are a family owned business since 1969. We were looking for a way to expand our business and bring in new customers. We thought adding a coffee shop to our building would be a great way to atract customers new and old. We have indoor seating and a drive thru window to accommodate customers on the go. We are so excited to be offering our customers a great coffee line with a unique and inviting atmosphere. When you come in and sit down you have the wonderful aroma of our coffee and the beauty of fresh flowers.

I called to ask if they have Herbal Tea, the lady has me hold so she can ask the coffee person (Why not just put them on the phone?) She returns with a list of every tea they serve, apparently unaware of what "herbal" means. Then I ask if they serve food, she tells me they have breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and hotdogs, but then asks the coffee person, returns to say no hot dogs. Ok, I'm just looking for a place to grab some tea and breakfast and read my book for an hour. I drive on down. I ask what kind of herbal teas they have. The lady gets every box of tea down from the cabinet and puts them all on the counter. They clearly have no idea what herbal tea is... a coffee shop. All of their teas are store-bought and they have *one* single herbal, chamomile. Great, so I ask how much the breakfast burrito costs which is shown on their counter but without a price. The lady says hang on while she checks the computer. She can't find the price for the burrito, just the sandwich. "I only work on Saturdays." I'm told as she fumbles about. Finally, she decides to check to see if they even have any burritos "in the freezer". They don't. The freezer? So I settle for the sandwich. She goes back to the freezer, grabs out a frozen egg "patty" and frozen sausage patty and tops them with a piece of cheap, fake cheese, the little sandwich square, oil-based stuff. All this goes in the microwave. At this point I've already been standing there for atleast 10-minutes waiting for her to take my money so I can sit down. I was the only customer in the store. I watched her clumsily assemble the sandwich, gloveless, literally tossing the items in the microwave and using her bare hands to check the temperature of my food. It's clear she has no clue how to run the place. Still, I wait. All-in-all, I stood there for about 30-minutes until I got fed up and just walked out. I didn't express any anger- that's not my style. And for what it's worth, she was very kind and seemed eager to help. Nothing wrong with this staff member. Clearly there is a problem with management not making sure their people know what they're doing or not paying them enough to care. That's not my purview. The thing that bothers me the most, this is a local business. I always try to go local but I am finding more and more that local businesses, not all, have just stopped caring. Starbucks isn't winning. Dutch bro's isn't winning. Hastings isn't winning. The other side just isn't trying. I recommend avoiding this shop. Still looking for something resembling "North Town" in Yakima. Put up a menu with prices, train and pay your employees fairly, and don't stock your inventory directly from the shelves of Wal-Mart. It might also help to have two phone lines, one for each business, so when people call a coffee shop they don't hear "Thank-You for calling XYZ Flowers." It just seems to me that the ppl running the place just don't give a crap which is all too typical of both local and corporate business, but come on! I'm begging to go local! I stood there for 30-minutes for a cup of tea and a breakfast sandwich... Really?

Horrible tasting coffee or, extremely bad timed shots. Whatever the issue not going back. Staff was polite and remade my drink but that just reaffirmed that I am not a fan. Returned 2nd drink also.
