Trudy's Kitchen caters onsite and offsite. We have world famous huckleberry cheesecake and a NEW raspberry chocolate cheesecake. we are located in the beautiful mountains and have a very family friendly atmosphere. Come visit us sometime.

Story

Best Restaurant in the whole world. My mom started Trudy's Kitchen in the mid 1990's and has been going strong ever since. The restaurant burned a few years back and even though many treasures were lost, my moms spirit was not broke. She rebuilt and is once again going strong. In the winter business hours are from 8am till 8pm Monday through Sunday.Summer hours are 7am to 8pm Sunday through Thursday and 7am till 9pm on Friday and Saturday

Good food, good prices, large portions, nice atmosphere, and very personable staff. We went for lunch and everyone enjoyed it. I had the Philly cheese stake and it was huge! To be honest, it might have had too much meat. But I'm sure most people would be fine with that.

This place was horrifying. The service was awful and downright rude. The food was just as bad. I'm not sure where these good reviews are coming from. Maybe these customers have never been outside of Idaho City? Perhaps the service and food are better in the summer? We went in late November and I still gag every time I think of this place. STAY AWAY!

This place sucks! I don't understand all these good reviews! Drove to Idaho City and this was the only place open so decided to give it a shot, regrettably. Ate lunch here and the food is very overpriced. Was going to order the egg and bacon sandwich and asked the server if I could get my egg yolk runny. She said "probably not" and said the cook makes them a certain way so they don't run all over you. Umm, okay but I want it a different way? So maybe accommodate the customer!?Ordered the BLT instead and it was mediocre. My cousin ordered the tuna sandwich and the tuna was mixed with cottage cheese. This is NOT normal and should be something specified on the menu. No seasoning, she said it was bland. The fries were straight grease and unsalted which was a letdown because the looked hand-cut and should have been delicious. Witnessed the server argue with another customer about the bread her sandwich came out on. NEVER AGAIN.

It's probably the best restaurant in town if you're coming to visit Idaho City make sure you eat here. This place can be busy but it's worth the wait and it's always warm inside.
