My father was a patient at this facility. After only a few days he became severely dehydrated and had to be sent to the hospital. Apparently this is a known issue as they have signs reminding staff to keep patients hydrated. Additionally we were told they have a hydration program in place to make sure patients are given fluids every two hours. This makes me wonder where the breakdown occurred. During another visit my father had a Do Not Resuscitate band on his wrist against both his wishes and his doctor's directive. When we asked about this the charge nurse stated that another patient must have put it on him. It was on so tight we could not remove it so it had to be cut off -- simply not possible to be slid on or off by another patient! During his entire stay he was heavily (over) medicated and in a "zombie-like" condition. He ended up staying there for over 4 weeks and was worse off when he left than when he arrived. Like all medical facilities you have some absolutely wonderful staff members that truly care and those that do the minimum requirements of their job. The social worker and several staff members unfortunately fell into the lesser category. I would strongly recommend AGAINST this facility for any elderly family member.

Almost all the staff and doctors are wonderful. I think they do a good job considering all the other stuff they have to do. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Kudos to Dr P and nurses Chris and Chris and I forgot some other names but they are my heroes

I received great care by the Fantastic Staff on the ADU Unit, However someone on the 3rd Floor Staff where I spent 11/2 very long days didn't make sure that my property was transferred with me and my PURSE WAS STOLEN! along with a gift card and other personal property. I was FURIOUS and since my release I have NOT heard from ANYONE in Management at the Hospital, I requested to speak to the CEO and was denied and this person has YET to contact me regarding the THEFT of my property ! Poor Management in my Opinion. The REALLY sad part of this is the patients on the 3 rd floor are VERY mentally ill and don't have the cognitive ability to know what they came in with and I would guess this type of THEFT has happened many times over without anyone even noticing and to me that is unconscionable!

I don't know how ANYONE would give this place anything over 1 star! I would give it a ZERO if I could. They OVER MEDICATE, by at least 900mg, and, they put DNR bracelets on patients that don't need or want them. Then, they blame the patient for having the bracelet on, saying they switch bracelets all the time. They must think people are idiots, because the bracelet was on tight, and would not fit over my dad's hand. They don't change the patients clothes for several days, and when they do change their clothes, they put someone else's clothes on them that don't fit!! When we went to visit on one of the 3 days we were allowed, some idiot with a clipboard said we had visited the day before, and it wouldn't be fair to other patients if we visited again. when we told her NO ONE visited him, she said, well, it's documented, soooo....! My brother looked at the visitor log, and saw a visit to another patient with the same last name the day before. They didn't apologize, and claimed his room mate had a similar name. They keep patients over medicated so they don't have to deal with them. The ONLY reason we started getting any help is my post on Facebook, and a call to the State Medical Board to file a complaint. We still don't have all of my dad's clothes, they lost his hearing aid, AND his dentures. The complaint process with the State has just begun, and I dare Trustpoint to illegally change my dad's records. I forgot to add that they also neglect patients. One day we went to visit and my dad was so thirsty he drank 2 cups of water pretty fast. If you love your family member, keep them away from this place. If they are already there, find another facility ASAP. If you have to call the State Medical Board to file a complaint, call them. Otherwise, Trustpoint will keep them and neglect them!!!!
