An incredible park in the heart of the city. I love this place and walk here a couple of times a week. Lots of trails without concrete and lots of trails with it as well. Several different types of ecosystem to be viewed here and wildlife if you are quiet. Spooked a fawn the other day. That was quite a thrill!

This has been my favorite park in Oregon since back in the late '90s when we'd run through it for Aloha cross country practice. Back then there were neither bridges nor paved paths, and it was a muddy slog. Now it's well-maintained with a variety of trails and beautiful areas featuring gravel paths, paved paths, and wooden path ways. I have seen squirrels, rabbits, snails, slugs, robins, sparrows, frogs, ducks, dragon flies, and so many other creatures and critters around. Plus, there are no dogs, which is a bonus.

Amazing woods ! 200yards in , and the only sound you will hear are the birds chirping on lichen covered branches , leaves rustling on the grounds and wind whistling on the tall Douglas fir tops ! So close to the city and yet such a pristine piece of forest! Very well kept ; thanks to the Park management and the volunteers spend the time improving the condition of the trails! The info-signs on the trails are a great and easy way to know the native flora and fauna.

If you look hard you can see the deer I think deer are great and a sign the park is healthy. Was up early and so walkers and a couple of runners. A great place to go for a relaxing stroll in nature.

The park is gorgeous and the trails are wonderful. You can choose a paved patch or just a dirt trail or a combo of the two. We walked a different way yesterday and it was all new to us. We never seem to take the exact same way which is nice. They have restrooms that are always fairly clean and a water fountain for before or after your way.
