Beautiful in winter when the water falls freeze. Great park year round. Lots of gorgeous trails to hike. Many if the trees are ancient and huge. The rock formations are amazing to study. Easy to find. Pricing is good. A favorite for a lot of people I know.

We stayed in the Inn and it was nice. It's overpriced for the room but I still love Turkey Run. Trail 3 is incredible! The nature center is nice. It has a nice relaxing nature viewing area where you can sit and watch the birds and squirrels and chipmunks etc. The common area at the Inn is great for doing puzzles or board games or just reading a book down by the fire.

Beautiful state park with a variety of trails for all ability levels. There are 11 trails total, the longest trail only being 2 miles. You can connect multiple trails together for a longer hike if you want something a little more challenging. This is a state park that I really enjoy going to in the winter because the scenery is absolutely beautiful. There is a lodge with cabins on site and a restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It is closed in between those meal times though so make sure to check out the hours before you plan on eating there. Just a quick 1 hr 20 min drive from Indy and so worth it!

Great anytime. Going to be a bit packed during certain holidays, so I prefer to dodge those days. If you are ready for an interesting hike/slide check out the trails in winter. Frozen valleys are breathtaking and fun to slide around. Just know your limits and perhaps wear some extra padding during a winter and venture.

There is a diverse choice of well-maintained trails at Turkey Run ranging from relatively flat and easy to steep inclines and ladders. It can be difficult to find a parking spot near the trails on a busy weekend, but there is a second large parking lot closer to the park entrance. Try to avoid a visit when recent rains have flooded the trails, as some of the prettier trails are the lower ones that will be submerged.
