I went to Dr. Baik's office, for a painful and obvious lump on the bottom of my for and to the left on the outside. Xray was taken. Shadow was found. CT order written. To them that's normal and they put it through for normal processing. I'm facing major surgery in 10 days and per Dr Baek, it takes about a week to get the report then I need to call and make an appt. Well, that's not going to work with surgery pending, so I asked if they would make it a stat so I could be cleared for surgery. They refused. Because of the surgery and having to be cleared, the surgeons office has had this expedited and I'll be seeing another podiatrist in 2 days with the CT disc in my possession. I'm not sure Dr. Baeks office has the expertise required for more difficult issues as its an older office and doesn't seem to be very much into today's digital world. If you have broken nails, fungus etc, then I guess Dr Baik's office would work. If anything more than that, I'd recommend seeing a podiatrist who at least is keeping up with technology and who cares, unlike Dr Baek. He also isn't very warm to his patients, at least towards me. He did explain what he found and showed me the xray. Called it a tumor then wrote, rule out cyst on the order. He just is someone who I doubt easily connects with his patients. Cold is what I'd call it. For a medical professional, knowing that a patient is in the midst of being cleared for an already scheduled surgery that is considered major, even if a person had a non major surgery coming up, is not only rude and lacking of the realities of surgery clearance, but is also rude to the Professional colleagues and their offices who have worked to get everything involved for the surgery. Dr Baek lacks the knowledge necessary to actually understand surgery clearance and what's involved or doesn't care. I think its the caring that's lacking.
