All the facilities seemed pretty nice and customer service was pretty good but beware the pet friendly cottages. By pet friendly, they mean the cottage has already been urinated and defecated in enough that there's really not much worse your pet could do to it. When we walked in, the cottage smelled heavily of cleaners but when that faded it just smelled like urine. The carpet was crusty and covered in stains. We cleaned a spot with our portable shampooer and it came out 5 shades lighter than the surrounding carpet and the water was GREEN when we emptied the reservior (it was empty when we started). When I turned the shower on the first night, it smelled heavily of urine so I'm guessing the previous occupant took a leak in the shower on a regular basis. I spilled a bit of water on the floor in the kitchen and wiped it up with a used towel assuming that the floor had been mopped recently. It hadn't and the towel was covered in black stuff afterwards. To top it off, we were told we got a military discount and we were given one the first night but then they just started charging full price without telling us. When we asked about it, they said they weren't supposed to give us a military discount in the first place since we weren't staying long term. I was fine not getting the discount but I would have liked for them to have informed us of the change instead of us finding out from our bank account. We paid for an extra night but didn't stay as we wanted out of there ASAP.

We stayed here on the spur of the moment. I usually like to plan and research out every lodging we go to, but we got lucky with this gem. Very clean, comfortable, they definitely take pride in keeping it up. We were in one of the two bed cottages with 4 small kids. We had plenty of room and a little backyard facing the fairway. The pool and hot tub were nice and clean. Above average especially for the price we paid.

Update: I was sad to hear that they now have a two-night minimum stay. No more weekend getaways for us at this resort because we can't do two nights. Otherwise, they have friendly staff and clean rooms at a great rate. The hot tub was very nice on a cold night.

For those who don't like hotels this is a pretty awesome alternative. We stayed in a regular 1 bedroom cabin. It was very clean. I cooked some simple things and had what I needed. There is even a propane grill that we utilized in the patio/yard area. The sales clerk was friendly and professional. It was one of the prettier places in town. It is right down the road from the Marine base. The pool and spa were very clean. Great place to crash land after hiking in Joshua Tree.

Wifi only in the office / clubhouse. Sewer pipe is 10+ feet for backin spots. If I stayed here again, I would get a pull through spot. Convenient to Joshua Tree.
