Five years ago I was lucky enough to have a makeover with Twisted Hare, which changed my life. I went from over 12" hair to a stylish, professional and FUN shorter style. I've returned  ever since and am ALWAYS happy with my haircuts. Teresa is a curl ninja!

Hannah is the best! I fought my curls for 30 years. Hannah gives me a stylish hair cut and showed me the best products and techniques to make my hair look fabulous. I get compliments all the time!

I have long and curly (3c) hair and I went it for color correction from a previous henna/ indigo (which is difficult to get out): 
- As far as color correction: they did a decent job correcting it. In short, the end result isn’t great (I have green patches patches from the indigo), but it isn’t bad. It looks better than what I came in with and it took her four hours, so I can’t complain much about the color portion of it. SIDE NOTE: they do not use any bond builder/ olaplex so if you have over processed hair, you might experience damage and breakage. 

-Now, as far as handling and care is concerned, I went in thinking they would know how to take care of “textured hair”, but they did a TERRIBLE job of handling my hair. Granted, my hair is long and can get easily tangeled, but my scalp has never felt so inflamed from all the pulling and tugging. There were times I had to pause her to rub and massage my scalp. I even communicated to her that I am tender headed. My hair was being RIPPED apart. At one point, as she was trying to part my hair, I stopped her and asked if she would like me to part it for her. She paused and proceeded to part it her way. It was clear that she wasn’t used to caring for my kind of hair. 

Women with 3c, 4a, + hair, in other words,women with tight curls and coils, PLEASE go find a hairstylist that is trained in doing your hair. I have NEVER lost so much hair in one day. It took me hours to detangle the matted hair she sent me off with. 
It was not worth it. I will not be going back.

I drive 300 miles round trip to get my hair cut by Teresa.  She really is that good.  I've visited other Deva salons in Madison and Chicago, and no other stylist has come close.  After 50+ years of battling with my hair, I finally can enjoy my curls.

Great place to get curly hair cut.  I went from long hair to very short, and they did it really well!  Definitely a quality salon.
