It would be 1 star, if not for the angel that help me get my salvage title after being given the run around for weeks. Was told I had to pass smog... I didn't. So I spent over 2 grand on a new catalytic converter install... come back and they say "who said smog? You don't need a smog... you need brake and tail light inspection" ... didn't pass had to replace cracked lamp covers... There were *still* issues and finally a nice lady helped me push everything thru and get me my plates. I was given bad info on more than one occasion. Unfortunate.. but hey... it's the DMV, what do you expect? I love you! I just wish the system didn't suck so bad, for those on both side of the counter! I think the online system could be improved to handle almost everything... As it stands today, you can only pay reg online if absolutely nothing has changed since the bill was sent... time to update your tech, my friends... with the exception of physical inspections and tests, there is no reason to burden your staff with requests that could be easily done electronically. Hell, visiting the DMV could actually become pleasant once computers are handling the bulk of the admin... might even be able to shrink the office.

My son arrived on time for a driving test appointment in Ukiah and a rude employee told him to wait in a particular line. After a 10 minute wait, a different employee said he was in the wrong line and directed him to another counter. 

At that counter they told him he was too late and wouldn't give him the test. 

There are a couple of employees here who are so unhelpful they'll actually give you the wrong information. 

Bad experiences are standard at this branch. Avoid if possible.

Worst DMV I have ever had the displeasure to have to use. There is never anyone at the counter and I have never spent less than an hour sitting here just to turn in a piece of freaking paper.... It would be nice if they would hire more employees or maybe not send 2 of the 3 that have out to lunch at the same time.....

There is no way to make appointments online. U have to go in take number and wait forever to make a appointment. Might as way handle all ur business
