Went to this Ulta with the intention of buying several different new makeup products. I had a couple items in my hand when an employee approached me asking if I needed help. I was on the more expensive side of the store looking at foundation. I told her that I was hoping to sample something that was more matte and full coverage as I was having family pictures taken the next day. I said that I didn't want to waste money on a full sized product I would never use again. I didn't even get to express that if I liked the product my intention was to buy more of that brand in a lighter finish...I just wanted to test it out first. My skin is sensitive and prone to breakouts so I wanted a good quality product. She looked at me like I had 5 heads and smirked like I was trying to scam her for free product. She said I should probably just use a drug store brand so I'd only be out like ten bucks and pointed to the other side of the store. I'm not accustomed to that sort of response which I guess is why I'll just go to Sephora instead, they have no problem giving a small sample. I then asked well what's the best cheap foundation? We walked over she grabbed some off the shelf and said well I can't test this on you but this looks like your color. I was given a finishing powder and sent on my way. So, I still need new makeup and have a whole bottle of full coverage foundation I won't use again. Didn't know it was that hard to send a paying customer home with a tiny one time use sample. Would they rather you buy the product and then return it if it doesn't work, causing them to have to damage out perfectly good makeup?

They helped me find my shade in foundation testing out one shade only! They are friendly and greeted me upon arriving.

I've been an Ulta shopper for a long time.  I have to say that as of late, I've really become disenchanted with the stores - or at least the ones around here.  The past few times I've visited, the store has been a disaster.  There are no test samples - tissues are always empty, product is never stocked.  I've started shopping at Sephora due to the condition of the Ulta stores lately.

I love the salon! Mel is the best. I have  been going to her for the past couple of years. Now she has worked on my daughter's hair for both Ring Dance and Prom. Erin in skin care worked on her makeup. Love the laughter and all the fun we experienced there. Keep up the awesome work ladies!
