I was looking for a new foundation and asked for help. I wanted something full coverage and for fairly light skin. The girl I asked passed me off onto someone else, who plunked me down in a chair right at the entrance facing everyone who came in. Not super comfortable there but I rolled with it. The guy there smeared on whatever their product of the week was ("It- Confidence in a compact"). I'll admit I'm no makeup pro so I was at first pleased with how I looked. It wasn't until I tried it for myself at home that I realized how awful it was. He had just put the stuff over my existing makeup. I should have known better, but I was intimidated and assumed he was getting me what I'd asked for.
In the future, I'll stick with my drugstore makeup that costs $13 rather then $80 for fountain and powder.

I had a wedding this Saturday 10/28 at and was running late after a long night at work. I called to make an appointment to get my make up done because I am not skilled at all in that department, the salon booked me with Jody.  I couldn't be more happy with the job she did and how she went above and beyond to make sure I was ready for a day that I was so nervous about.  She worked really hard to overcome my dark circles, the fact that I was falling asleep at the chair and that I was sufficiently hung over .  While she was doing my make up I mentioned that my curling iron broke and I had no idea what I was going to do with my hair. This godsend booked the next appointment to set loose curls in my hair which I'm sure screwed up her timing for the whole day.  I can't tell you how much this meant to me !  She also very nicely explained everything she was doing considering I have the make up skills of a two-year-old and was trying to learn at the same time. You killed it Jody! Thank you for the laughs and the beauty! You rock!

The manager was rude and acted like she couldn't be bothered. But 2 of the employees were excellent! I can't remember one girl's name but she got me hooked on the Ulta Juice Infused Lip Oil. And a HUGE shout out to Illiana who saw I had a knee brace on and instead of leading me to products (aka making me walking around the entire damn store), she gave me recommendations without moving. It may have looked like she was slacking off but if it weren't for those 2 employees, the attitude of the manager would have turned me off the store completely. Love to the employees who make this a fun place to shop in DESPITE of a manager who looks like she's in mourning at a funeral.
