Story

United House Wrecking Started out as a demolition business in 1954 when houses were dismantled to make way for Interstate I 95. The Lodato family salvaged doors, mantels, stained glass and other architectural remnants of value. The store became a haven for unusual items with character, and expanded to include the entire contents of homes.

Three generations and 60 years later, this family business continues to flourish by offering a selection you won't find anywhere else. We have become the most eclectic and largest selection of indoor and outdoor decor in the tri-state area. With items discounted every day.

We have a huge collection of architectural salvage including mantels, stained glass, doors, newel posts, plumbing and hardware. Our 43,000 sq. ft. showroom has everything you need to furnish your home. From living room and dining room selections, home office and tv room, bedroom furniture, even home bars! Our store features home accents such as mirrors, prints, artwork and accessories. Not to mention the hundreds and hundreds and both antique and reproduction chandeliers you'll find throughout the store.

Our 2.5 acres of outdoor display feature statuary, fountains, patio furniture, planters, even seasonal flowers and plants, all of New England comes here when they want something unusual. We have recently built a new indoor patio showroom as well, so our customers can shop in comfort rain or shine.

Our 13,000 sq. ft. Design Center features new leather and upholstered furniture, exquisite vignettes, more accessories and many new lines of fine furniture reproductions. Come be inspired or let one of our designers you with all your decorating needs, absolutely free of charge!
