I have been to this post office numerous times. Always had a great experience with the older clerks. I and my husband run a business, use USPS for shipping. We ship at least hundred packages via priority a week. The other day I stopped by to ask a question about getting one of my own packages that was about to ship out to an old address held there. The older clerk lady went to the back and asked a dark young male clerk. Door in the back was open and could see them, he flat out rolled his eyes, said ‘is she stupid? Tell her no’ I was so tempted to call him out on it but kept quiet and didn’t want to seem rude. This man has also give me attitude once when I went to go ask about our business address change and how to go around it. Again he rolled his eyes and respnded with call 1800. Sorry I expect more than a 1800 when I spend over 1000$ on usps shipping a month? The main supervisors and our mail pickup is great but this mans service not so great.

My girlfriend received a package from this company that was damaged. I called the 1877 number and got the runaround. It says push 1 to track a package or report it damaged. I pressed 1, entered my package number, was told it was delivered and the call ended. The Lafayette number is eternally disconnected. Ship through FedEx, they are awesome.

I've always had a positive experience here even during the rush hour. Not sure where some people get their opinion of it being nasty, rude, and bad - I am guessing people leave with the attitude they brought in. I ship a lot of stuff and end up here about once a week. Great place with a lot of parking to get in and out quickly using the automated postage machine. The staff hours are good and they're helpful for mailing everything from post cards to boxes overseas.

This place sucks. Took us 3 hours to get one passport renewed for our (minor) daughter. Dontez made up his own rules even though I had printed the rules from travel.gov. He said I will do what he says. Basically, you can use two secondary forms of ID if you don't have a primary (my primary was with the passport dept), and he said I needed a freaking gym or wholesale club membership to compliment my SS card and out of state ID. I showed him the printout and he couldn't care less. He told me it was illegal to live in Indiana temporarily and have another state ID, even though that state told me it's legal (AND updated my Indiana address on my out of state ID). This guy has NO clue what he's doing and I would avoid coming to this office because of him. They are super slow: took us 10 minutes to get a new passport in New York, while it took 3 hours for a renewal here!!
