Go somewhere else there is a lot of choices. Especially do not see Dr R Overton. Indifferent care and they simply don't really care about you as a patient nor do they take the time to think or diagnose properly. I do not recommend at all.

Dr. Jon Van Der Veer and his care team, from; Dr. Josh Gustafson, Sarah the nurse, the lab technicians, to the receptionist at UnityPoint Clinic Internal Medicine, are an AMAZING and OUTSTANDING team to work with. I am very happy one of my best friends told me Dr. V. could possibly help me with my confusing medical needs. Dr. V' s team actually listens to you and your concerns. They try to help figure out the core to your issues. Then they make a plan to help your entire body, not just put a "bandaid" over the issue. I have since brought my significant other to them and they have brought his faith back to the medical field as well as mine. Both of us had nearly given up hope with finding Doctors who actually care about us as people.

Taking a prescribed pill like ambien? Get ready folks - UnityPoint will now be doing random pee tests on you. I had an appointment for a sinus infection and was told in that appointment to go pee in a cup because I take that medication, which is prescribed by my UnityPoint doctor. I refused. My doctor laughed at me. It's not funny. At all. I wasn't told about the random drug screening before I arrived. I asked why I wasn't told, and was informed that it 'wasn't possible.' I call bullshit. I'm finding another doctor, and another clinic that will respect me as a human being and work WITH me.

Told the automated machine to cancel my appointment. Got a letter a few days later saying I need to let the office know before I decide to no show. If your office can't even coordinate with an automated machine when I press 2 to cancel, why on earth should I trust you to tell me whether I'm healthy or not? Should I not trust the automated system you put in place? Because if not, you need to take it out entirely. Will be using other UnityPoint Clinics.
