This office holds its self to very high standards and expectations. I brought my son here 3 years ago to see Dr. Young and he has been ear problem free since. The care is communicated very easily and I felt very comfortable asking a lot of questions. The staff is very respectable and receptive to concerns. I would highly recommend!

Very friendly from the front desk extending all the way through my visit. Every procedure was explained before it happened. Afterwards I was able to get immediate results and see the video of my exam.

Dr. Young was very good with my daughter so she felt comfortable, and very good at explaining what was going on to my husband and me. We felt completely at ease the whole time, even though things happened quickly and unexpectedly. I highly recommend Dr. Young, and the whole support staff! They are all very friendly and welcoming.

My husband had a sinus surgery performed. The care was great and the surgery itself went very well. The doctor explained everything and all went well from a medical front. Then comes billing purgatory. If you have an out patient procedure performed, prepare yourself for a visit into the billing Twilight Zone. The estimated charges are required up front, which will include any unmet deductibles and co-insurance payments estimated. Then after the procedure is performed, the bills start rolling in from about six different places/offices/labs. There is no way to keep it straight. Many seem down right random. Meanwhile you will be left to ponder what the upfront payment actually paid for; you won't have any sort of invoice or itemized listing of what was covered to refer to. I made the very incorrect assumption that maybe just maybe the Anesthesiologist $1000 bill would be part of what was estimated and thus paid up front. Nope. So after 3.5 months, I reached out to the Iowa ENT billing dept. In short, they were holding any remainder of my sizable $2500 up-front payment just in case we had further visits or procedures performed; then they would apply the remainder toward that. I was never notified that there was a credit, nor were we asked if we would want the remainder applied toward future visits, etc. I thought I was paying for the procedure. In essence they held our money for 3.5 months before I reached out to them. Never once were we contacted that we had a credit. Now, after speaking with them several times and getting our health care provider involved, they will be issuing us a refund. I honestly don't get how it can be coordinated to have the doctors, nurses, labs, surgery center, anesthesiologist, etc., all lined up to perform the procedure, but it impossible to consolidate a bill from the involved parties and itemize out what is included. I don't even care if I had to pay them separately, but wouldn't it life be grand if I could see in one invoice/bill/spot what I needed to pay for during one procedure? The doctors are excellent. The best thing they can do to improve the reputation is help their support staff to do a better job. Treat the patient like a client. Aim for a positive experience from all aspects.
