I don't know what happened to this place. I've gone here for 7 years but lately I have to get a new psychiatrist every few months. Any psychiatrists that actually care about you are long gone. Anymore you're just a number and they're trying to get you in and out the door as fast as possible. And they will NOT work with you if all you need is a refill of a live saving prescription medication. They will force you to wait 4 months at which point you could be at a breaking point. This place will end up doing more harm than good. Best to avoid and go anywhere else first.

The quality of service & staff keeps getting worse every year. Makes sense to raise prices $100 per visit this year in 2022. Staff leaves early consistently so you can’t schedule or order medications until the following day or after long weekends.

Absolutely horrible experience their front office has terrible communication the administrator of the clinic doesn't know how to run a schedule and all they come up with is excuse after excuse after excuse for being incompetent to do their jobs

I had an appointment with Dr. Kim, and was really hopeful because I have been struggling lately, when i arrived the only person who was nice to me was the nurse that took my vitals. The receptionists seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else and were not in a good mood. I was there with concerns of possible ADHD or ADD for myself, and was told by Dr Kim that he does not diagnose that in adults which is totally fine. What is not fine is that he had a condescending tone the entire appointment and even answered a text on his phone in the middle of me explaining my trauma! He essentially called me a liar and that he didnt think i have ADHD but didnt help me to come up with a treatment plan that would work for me, AND THEN perscribed me an ADHD med despite not thinking I have it.

i have never written a review nor have i ever in my life got up and left a doctors appointment but i have also never been treated the way i was by a “medical professional” earlier today. I see a wonderful therapist at lakeview counseling and psychiatry  who recommended Cindy Pontious so i assumed my care would be similarly handled. boy was i wrong. Cindy couldn’t bring herself to read any of the pages of notes readily available to her or even my basic diagnosis’. very few questions were asked but due to my tearfulness she said i need to go on mood stabilizers. when i told her i didn’t think that what was happening was right no questions on my mental health just trying to prescribe and then proceeded to tell me i can take the pills or take the hard road. when i started to get defensive she laughed and said i’m not laughing at you i’m laughing because i’m nervous… ma’am why are you nervous? has nobody ever been hesitant to take medication you prescribe two minutes into the appointment? extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable setting to be in. towards the end before i got up and left she refused eye contact and talked out the window or towards the wall. i expected that because i was being seen for specific severe mental health diagnosis’ that she would’ve understood that i do not easily trust strangers and would’ve wanted some time to get to know me before trying to prescribe something that she said would make me feel “like a new person” in 3 days. not even sure if she wanted to hear the answers to the very few questions about history she did ask as she would cut me off half way through a sentence. easily the absolute worst experience of my life with a mental health “professional” or doctor in general.

This office refused to fill an rx without any notice and without a transition plan. Refused to take a msg fir my provider but set up a teleconference about a month away.  I spent a pretty miserable week.  The drug i was taking was supposed to be addictive. Very unprofessional.

I finally had the courage to talk to my regular doctor to get to a psychiatrist.  Was starting to see this place for my agoraphobia and anxiety issues. I showed up for my 2pm appointment, and was told, even though I was holding the appointment card, that my appointment was at 1pm. The woman at the desk wouldn't even look at the card I was holding and was telling me that I didn't k me what I was doing....considering it took me everything to get there this day, including 2 people to encourage and go with me to get there, I knew when my appointment was. I ended up having a meltdown and left. 2 days later, I get a letter that they wont see me anymore because I didn't show up to an appointment.... Probably never going to go see another one ever again...took me years to try to find help, and just 3 visits to never go back.

This is the most ridiculously unprofessional counseling/ doctor’s office I have ever been to. I tried to see a new counselor here Mandy/ Amanda and I went into an appointment and she randomly cancelled that appointment and all of my 8 future scheduled appointments and did not contact me or give a reason why. Also saw a psychiatrist here and I called 3 days in advance to cancel my follow-up appointment. They marked it as a no-show and sent me a letter stating I am no longer allowed to go to that clinic. Fine by me- the new psychiatrist I was seeing was asking ME what medication I think I should be prescribed. Do yourself a favor and DON’T go here. Poor excuse for a counseling/ psychiatry clinic. The state should really look into them.

We showed up for my daughters 8am appointment at 7:45 and waited until 810 when I asked when we’d be seen. We were told to keep waiting and at 8:30 I asked again and they told me I could keep waiting but had no idea how long it would be. At 8:40 I said we’d have to leave but that we needed a med refill and they said they’d send it and confirmed our pharmacy. They even called later that morning to confirm they sent it. Then we go to the pharmacy to find out they sent it to the wrong pharmacy. They were rude and unprofessional through the whole experience and we never even made it past the reception area.

I went out there to see Denis Ingle for my meds. It was my first time and took over a month to get in. I live in Ankeny and drive all the way out there for my appointment. I fill out all the paperwork and am told that he is in a meeting that's running late, but he'll see me as soon as it's done. A few minutes later, I get told that his meeting is actually at my appointment time and I'll need to reschedule.  What? I've had this appointment for over a month and, in all that time, no one could be bothered to check that there wasn't a conflict in scheduling. Completely unprofessional and rude!
