I've been going to this laundromat for two years, because it's close and I don't have a car. Usually, 13-16 out of 25 washing machines don't work. And 7-10 out of 22 dryers don't work. One time, none of the detergent dispensers in the vending machine worked. Luckily, a kind customer shared his detergent with me. When you lose money on the machines, you don't get reimbursed. I've never in two years seen anybody on duty. If you call the posted phone number, you'll get a fax machine. If you leave a note with your phone number, you'll never hear anything. I've seen people grumble about losing money on the washing and vending machines, so it's a fairly common occurrence. I always bring paper towels, so I can wipe off the folding tables. Oftentimes, homeless people sort through their belongings on the tables and leave behind weird crud. I wish the place had towelette dispensers similar to the ones in grocery stores.
