Unlike some folks who think they're entitled to royalty treatment for discounted or even free dental care, I was grateful to get an appointment 2 months down the line for treatment of dental problems associated with terminal cancer. I got great care and a chance to contribute to a fine educational institution.

Called 4 times and was transfered to an invalid extension twice. I was put on hold for 20 minutes before i hung up. Everyone i talked to besides two employees had attitudes despite the fact i spoke to them in a very respectful manner. Once i got through i was told i had to wait more than a month for an evaluation. When I asked did they have anything sooner because i would be returning to school around that time and wouldn't be in Pittsburgh the woman on the phone said "No" in a very rude manner. I would not recommend them if you have insurance.

Had an excruciating pain in my tooth due to a filling falling out of a cavity I had filled. Unfortunately, my dentist (or any dentist) wasn't available over the weekend and we're filled up until November. So come Monday morning, I went to Pitt Dental and they were able to accept me even though I didn't get there early like they prefer. I was seen pretty quickly and got my x-rays and exam done by a friendly guy named, Ramon. Then, I left for lunch and came back at 1pm for a tooth extraction that went amazingly smooth. My procedure was done by a girl named, Devin, who was just awesome. Everyone was so friendly and it was an easy process. They really make you feel comfortable and were very professional. And even though I couldn't use my insurance on account of my own fault, the $135 was very worth it, especially considering all the places I called prior wanted $350+ for the same thing. So if you're in a pinch like I was, this is your place!
