I'm not sure what words convey the true appreciation I have for the ER/Cardiac Team at St. Francis Hospital. How do you thank a team of people who don't know you - have never seen you before but are willing to spend 48 minutes doing CPR on you to bring you back to life!??!? This was my case just a few days ago. After 6 days of top-notch care from St. Francis Staff, I returned home "normal" after a much grimmer prognosis. I can't say enough good things about St. Francis - and I thank each and every one of them who helped me to get well.
I got a quick reply from the Triage nurse in the clinic, which led me to getting a COVID test at Brewster. It was positive, & I immediately self-quarantined @home. Then after the weekend I got a follow-up call from my doctor's nurse. I'm very pleased & grateful for the care I"m getting.
Took a friend to the ER last night the waiting room was full. There were dirty blankets, several used masks different than Covid masks, long green plastic masks laying around. Pretty disgusting. Would have been nice if the patients would have disposed of properly and if the staff would have thrown away after the patient left. My friend has cancer thus low immunity.
My husband and I visited with our primary who is Nicole Thompson, ARNP for our annual physical. She is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. Extremely patient and really listens to you for any concerns that we have, We really appreciate her and her assistant Michelle. Both are super great and I would give them both a 10+ and recommend them to anyone I know.
By far the worst experience I have ever had in an ER. Got in and in triage fairly quickly. Then sat in the waiting room, for 6 hours and no one even checked on anyone out there. After 6 hours we got up and left. Every time my wife asked how much longer they said they were cleaning rooms to get people in, by 2 different receptionists. The good thing was that security was able to take the time to check out 4 different doordash orders and make sure they were safe for the others... never again will I ever set foot in that building. Terrible service and horrible communication with patients that needed care and were in obvious distress. People brought in by ambulance and then sat in the waiting room with everyone else and then got smart and left before we did. So please save your time and don't go here if you have an emergency, you will probably just end up on the floor getting stepped over because you didn't respond when they called your name 8 hours later.
If I could rate negatively, I would. My father is still there, unfortunately. My dad went there having a seizure and issues w/ his heart. He’s been there for over 1 hours, and the initial doctor that came in didn’t even acknowledge his heart issue, but she was incompetent enough to state that she didn’t even read the chart to acknowledge any heart complications. Lucky for them, my parents aren’t as concerned, and they aren’t being sued currently. This hospital needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY. No questions asked. If I have to travel 10 hours to advocate for my father, I WILL PURSUE A LAWSUIT.
All nurses were very courteous and couldn't have provided better care. However, my husband, the patent, was not a fan of Dr. Schroeder. Seemed disinterested in patients'suggestions and /or his care. Has been in hospital for 10 days counting t I day.10-14-22. Finally had surgery today.
Kierston B was my midwife through my pregnancy and she was amazing!! She always made me feel comfortable, answered any question I had in depth, was very gentle, and informed me of everything she was planning before she did it. She was so wonderful and I was terrified with it being my first baby. I also had to be induced wich was extra scary but i felt better knowing it would be her there with me for the delivery. Definitely going back just for her if I end up with another little one! Can't thank her enough
One of the finest doctors I have ever been to see. Happy for Dr. Newth, but sad to see him retiring. One of the best people I have had the pleasure of knowing in my life. May he have a wonderful adventure on the next chapter of his life.
My husband recently had spinal surgery at St. Francis Hospital, and we were very pleased with the care he received. Dr. Rendel, his PA Monica Blanton-Birzer, the nurses from Neurosurgery and all of the surgical staff were amazing. They kept us informed throughout the entire process and made sure we understood what to expect, and what we needed to do pre- and post-surgery. Everyone we encountered at the hospital from the time we checked in with Registration to the time my husband was discharged 2 1/2 days later, were very friendly and helpful. The nurses all took excellent care of him, especially his primary nurse Stacey, who was exceptional. We rate this experience as an A+ and would like to commend the hospital staff for their professionalism, diligence, excellent communication and organization skills, top-notch customer service, empathy, knowledge and respectfulness,
