My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Up the Creek. You do have to know what to expect. It is described as "urban camping". My family and I usually "rough it" when we camp, and we do not expect a lot of a fluffy stuff or pampering. We called them when we could not find space at the national park to camp. We arrived to find a nicely organized whiteboard with our name, site location, and directions for getting our stuff to the campsite, as you do not drive your car into this camp area. There were nice, large Rubbermaid-like wheel barrels to transport your things from your vehicle to your site. It is not a large Campground. It seemed to be a large lot that was developed into a campground, so you do not have to transport your items far to find your campsite. It was nice to wake up in the morning and not have to make coffee or breakfast, as we could walk down the street a few blocks to get to a convenience store or restaurant. My children, who were not excited about "urban camping", also enjoyed being in the very nice town of Moab, surrounded by fun things to do and gift shops to visit. We had regular sightings of deer, in the yard that was located behind the campground, that walked through the campground on a daily basis each morning. The restrooms and showers were very well kept, kind of fashioned in a pseudo Hopi Native American Style (forgive me if my description is inaccurate). There was also a very nice outdoor cleaning area where you could wash your dishes. It was a bit pricey, if you consider it just a typical campsite, but we enjoyed it for the experience, location, and quick access to town. It was something different for us, and if we ever make it back to Moab we would definitely stay there again!

We had a wonderful experience here! So peaceful and serene even though there is a high school right behind and a busyier road just across the way. The campsites, bathrooms, and main areas were well kept and clean! There was always hot water in the showers and never had to wait. We even had our little feel for wildlife with chickens roaming free and even saw a deer! We will definitely stay here again next time we come to town.

This is the 3rd campground I have stayed at in Moab. The 1st was the best and is now a hotel. This place is my new favorite. Not too crowded and quiet. Its also not overly packed with people. The showers are hot. The grounds are beautiful. I was surprised that there was no power outlets at the campsite but I brought a power strip and charged batteries in the restroom/shower area as those were the only outlets I found. There was an outdoor sink for cleaning dishes as well as a food scraps bin and other garbage amd recycle bins. The camping area was plenty large. We had three sites and 5 tents of various sizes. Traffic noise was low and the creek was a pleasent sound to fall asleep to. This site will be my first choice next year when we come back!

Interesting campground in an urban setting. Couldn't find a tent site anywhere and this place saved us. kinda pricey for a tent site. Think I spent $38 For 2 people in 1 tent. Most I've ever paid for a tent site. Clean bathrooms and neat atmosphere. So quiet you can hear everyone snoring, farting and gettin it on. No joke.

Well-priced urban camping with enough amenities to make it easy. Bath-house, communal kitchen sink and phone charging area, and best of all very close to downtown. Has a simple rack for locking up bikes, or I felt safe leaving them locked on vehicles in the driveway. I LOVE the walk-in format, no vehicles in or out in the campsite area. Picnic tables abound, and propane grills are provided. Downsides are the cotton EVERYWHERE, the sand you camp on can be unpleasant and a little rocky, and the bathrooms could use a few upgrades. Oh, and watch out for spiders when showering (see photos!)
