I am here on vacation and my capped tooth fell apart. You cannot imagine the pain I was in. On Sunday I went to the clinic for antibiotics cs and hoping for something for pain even though I did not expect it... because of the severe drug abuse in our nation so many patients who truly need it are judged and training ed before they can get relief. I understand as I am a nurse for 32 years now and have seen abuse of meds first hand. However, thank you to Rocky and Dr. Brown for assessing that my pain was real and helping me to find relief. If ever I have a need I will go here first while in Tybee. Thank you also Wayne for calling today to check on me. I have appointment this afternoon with a dentist in Savannah. Thanks for getting me started on antibiotics and helping to tolerate this awful pain!

My husband went in for bloodwork and a physical evaluation. We saw a PA - and not the doctor. He was rude and had a terrible attitude. For example - upon hearing that we homeschool our children and strive for a healthy lifestyle, he asked my husband "Please tell me you aren't that kind of family who doesn't vaccinate your kids either?" After a week, we had to finally call to get the results. My husband was then told he had type 2 diabetes and could we come in for a follow up to get started on medication. The appointment was again with the PA - who told us to meet him at a different location, that he would be there all night. We had to wait for an hour for him to show up. After a long discussion about lifestyle changes and medication and again the rude attitude, the nurse came in to show him how to check his blood sugar. (I am beyond thankful for her and her work ethic! She was the only professional one in the whole experience.) She immediately saw that his numbers did not match what the PA had said and pulled my husband's paperwork. The results were clearly stated. He did NOT have any form of diabetes. And obviously no one bothered to actually check. She confronted him outside the room. The PA said that "that idiot nurse had called him and gave him the results over the phone" and insisted he call my husband to inform him that he was type 2. We overheard quite a bit more from the hallway. The PA came in laughing about how he was "sooo going to get that idiot nurse who told him the wrong numbers fired" instead of apologizing for his lack of information or wrong diagnosis. When checking out - he was still going to charge us for the follow up visit. Thankfully, the nurse stood up to the PA and refused to cost us another penny or moment of our time. His words then were "Yeah, well, I'm on my way out, so ..." Needless to say, there was no follow up phone call from anyone. I tried numerous times to contact someone with this complaint - and more importantly to make sure whoever was on the other end of this mix up received their correct diagnosis, as well. I tried contacting Dr. Williams, since his name is on all of our paperwork and was told he was unavailable for phone calls. I was directed to the administrative office - where I left messages and received no response. Please do not be afraid to ask for things in writing - and require the highest standard of treatment. This kind of care is not acceptable. I would highly recommend going to the ER in an emergent situation.

AMAZING SERVICE! Nurse Rocky and Doctor Dustin took great care of my grandmother who had an accident while we were on Tybee from out of town. They had classic southern charm and hospitality, made us all feel safe and in capable hands. Glad to have these guys around when something scary happened.
