Because service is a beatutiful thing there honor here amoung the men and women who serve the base is modern and efficent I felt happy and safe here somthing I never feel elsewhere the PX was modern and well stocked a mini main street with on base hotel accomidations for family members libray churches hospital and community center ( even a water slide park and horseback riding I knew in my heart my boy was in the best place he could be for personal development and that the Army could teach and develop him into an outsanding young man if they can teach him kindness and compassion that would be awesome too I miss him very much and am thankful for those that serve

The base is pretty spaced out and easy to navigate. Too bad it's in Augusta, Georgia. I medically retired from the Army here in 2016. I met some nice, honest people and some not so nice, fake people. Despite the massive amount of corruption I witnessed during my time here, I made the "doubters" eat it up and lay with it.

As an former AF Member that was part of a training Det back in 2001 to 2002 it was a good place for training and things to do on base. Also good experience during my short temp duty for special training. One of the many reasons I love GA is because of this base.

1st Taste of Army life. 1979 was a long time ago. Made many friends, and we all marched what seemed like a million miles. Learned what it was to be a Patriot & why America was the best place to live in the world!
