After getting the run around for three hours, I gave up. I have never seen such laziness and passing the buck.  I have done business with the same credit union for 17 years. I well know and understand field of memberships, ncua documentation requirements and and basic customer service.  This all came down to an employee too lazy to get off their ***. LITERALLY! As in could not even walk out of her office! and instead choose to play message really with the receptionist for 20 min.  If that is how you are treated when you are depositing money, I cannot imagine the level of service you get if you actually need money.

I took an official bank check to them and they refused to give me access to my funds for two days.  They had already verified the check, they just refused claiming that these checks are subject to fraud and the check could have a stop payment on it, even on the day after I had deposited the check.  They could never explain why the issuing bank would do that or why my friend who was giving me the money would do that, or even if he could.  I was asked several inappropriate and irrelevant questions, "Where did Mr. [My Friend] get the money to give you the loan?"  "What are you going to use the funds for?"  They ultimately refused to give me access to my funds.  They kept insisting they had to hold on the funds one more day for which I could determine no legitimate reason.
