I was here to request for a certified document. The staff in the office was not very helpful. He couldn't provide specific procedure on how to obtain the document that was originally issued by this court. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the court building, so I went in and out the building 4 times to make phone calls and enquiries to a foreign consulate. Back in the office, at the end he said he couldn't process the order because the cash register is now closed. I will have to come back another day for this document request. Overall the staff doesn't show any willingness to assist visitors. Suggestion: Be well prepared with all specific questions you may potentially have. Update: The office stuff are absolutely clueless on their work procedure. I received a phone call this morning and were told to come back for the document. When arrive they ask me to show them another document that was not mentioned during the call. This office is very inefficient and staff is incompetent. I'm very disappointed that they can't even serve people with simple task such as issuing document.

I came here for the citizenship ceremony and I feel sorry to put it as a horrific experience. The staff (most of them were female workers) were extremely unpleasant except the young lady who ushered us in. There were 5 people checking the documents and processing ceremony for over 300 or so people from all works of life with various backgrounds. There were a lot of families to witness their sons, daughters, mothers and fathers becoming a US citizen. At the end, I realized the actual ceremony takes only 5 to 10 minutes and the remainder of time I spent were sitting, waiting and being yelled at. Regardlessly the family members must sit at the other room and only allowed to watch it through a blurry 40" monitor with no sound. Later I heard no one bothered watching it. During the ceremony, some staff gave some participants a bad attitude if their English isn't good. I didn't get the impression that the staff tried to explain what is needed in an appropriate manner. Others literally yelled at us when they brought up a participant to the desk. This wasn't necessary since the courtroom is not that big and everyone stayed calm and silent. I literally jumped out of my seat at the moment a female staff started barking at the participants. When my name was called, one lady didn't even bother to pronounce it correctly. I have an English name; not hard to read or recognize it; this only reflects her mindset towards immigrants. I believe they do this work day in day out. But why badly? I wanted to keep this ceremony as a meaningful chapter in my life. Unfortunately my little imagination was shattered by the reality. I feel it is a reminiscent moment of the harsh immigration policies in the US where the racial discrimination is a norm. They don't seem to care or think about what immigrants feel about the ceremony and nonchalantly carry out their daily tasks. I guess there is nothing significantly wrong. However, they should consider the citizenship application doesn't come as free. Currently the USCIS collects about $700 processing fee. So it is a service. And I was their client. This is not a good analogy but could you put up with the same service at a restaurant and be willing to pay that amount? Is it too much if an immigrant expect dignity to serve to make it a better ceremony?
