Stopped in without an appointment in October around 10 am to ask a quick question. Entire visitors area with about 50 chairs was empty. You could hear a pin drop. When an IRS employee met me I was told I needed an appointment and was handed a phone number to call as that was their policy. Reminded me of the scene in Meet the Fockers where Ben Stiller was the only person to board a plane but yet the gate attendant would not allow him to board until she went through all boarding options. I didn’t freak out like Ben did as I sort of expected this from our taxpayer friendly IRS.

Absolutely not friendly location !!! I STEPPED ON JUST TO ASK ONE QUESTION: DO I NEED PROVIDE AND MAIL ORIGINAL FOREIGN PASSPORT OR CETRIFIED NOTARIZED COPY OF IT TO GET TAX IX ? , AND I WAS  GIVEN PAPER WITH PHONE NUMBER TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. WHY ? SINCE I WAS TALKING TO SUPERVISOR OF THIS PLACE ALREADY, WHY DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT JUST TO ASK THIS ONE SMALL QUESTION ??? VERY BUREAUCRATIC AND MEAN AND RUDD PLACER !!!
