Appointment only! I had no idea they didnt take walk ins anymore. Also they no longer give tax preparation help. Anyhow the guy at the front counter was very helpful.

I was given an appointment January 15th 2018 they gave me a choice to come at 9 a.m. or 3 p.m. I choose 3 p.m. I'm here early just to see if they're open they're closed I didn't know today was going to be Martin Luther King day maybe they didn't either but a professional business like the irs should've known I can see now that the economy is so bad now that everyone having a hard time even the people that work at the irs building so I'm going to give them a leap of grace,faith,and hop. 5 stars for being close on a day like today.

If it wasn't for Barbara's excellent a service, this would have been a 1 star rating.  I showed up hoping to get a copy of my transcript; instead of being greeted with cordiality, it was loud abruptness demanding why I was there, and that they didn't take walk in appointment.  I was handed a little paper and  told to call the hotline  and schedule an apt before they serviced me.  I called and was told there were no apt opportunities.  I told her out of the 18 empty chairs there was two of us!   Then a different girl entered the hallway and loudly told me not to call and that they would service me.   I politely told,  I was simple following instructions given to me and that I heard fine and understood good English.  I couldn't but help notice everyone who followed me was treated with fairness and cordiality.  Hmm?

Wasted half a day there to file a form on behalf of my disabled mother, which I could not do online or by mail.  Three weeks later I called IRS and they had no record of it.     For Kafka fans only.
