I went full "Karen" aka yelling. I was wrong. I want to thank the staff for doing their job especially A. Know that your packages won't be given to some random stranger. I just moved and my address didn't match. I became unhinged, raising my voice and being generally a terrible person when I could not retrieve my package. I'm not proud of this. A was doing his job and I want yall to know and USPS as well, that A kept a calm demeanor even though I was escalating. He's a great employee and so was the gentleman who helped load my item once I returned with proper paperwork. Also wanted to give an extra shoutout to A for allowing me to apologize. He didn't have to comeback out, but I really appreciated him for giving me the opportunity. Basically I messed up and they gave me grace. Great experience. Thank you.
Usually don't have a problem but today was different as the mail carrier[Melvin] took it upon himself to RTS my package and mark as UNDELIVERABLE when NO authority was given to him for such an action and to make matters worse, his supervisor[short Asian Male with glasses] told me that the owners of the property were I receive packages " had no right to accept packages for me" and if that isn't bad enough, when I asked him could I retrieve my package he said in a loud voice "NO"...... unbelievable!! Is it any wonder that this location is ALWAYS getting their windows smashed in..... I think not!
Fbi fingerprint appointment are M-F 10 am to 3 pm only
Let me preface this by saying that I never write reviews, but my experience was so horrible I just had to. There is this old white lady Rhonda that you must avoid at all costs. She is unmasked, clearly hates her job and tries to make you waste as much time and money as possible by nitpicking everything she can. I’ve sent many international packages through other USPS locations in Seattle and ran into no problems with my other experiences, but Rhonda was an absolute nightmare. First she insisted that my customs was not filled in correctly. Then she said I had to write the to/from locations in sharpie on the box even though there is a printed label for that. And then the most ridiculous part of it was she claimed that the first page of the shipping forms had to be taped onto the box I’ve never had any other USPS employee do that for international shipments. She made me buy an overpriced $4 tape just to tape it onto the box! It is an actual scam, especially since other locations would just offer some tape. What should’ve been a 10 minute experience turned into almost an hour. Needless to say, I will not be coming back.
I love this post office and the experience is great the lady was nice no line and lots of parking! Get your passport stuff here! Send a box and they got the self service machine so if your all packed just place on the scale and follow the prompts and you won’t have to see anyone or deal with humans! Just don’t let the area scare you as I was pulling up there was a naked person across the street being chased my emt’s trying to get her covered up! Bless them and I lived in sodo for a year and never had a problem!
Rude and disrespectful! I was trying to mail my mother's ashes and got zero empathy and maximum snark. Both clerks as well as the manager insisted I need to go on their website to order a special box for this purpose. I get home and check the website and it has two options for mailing ashes and in either case there was nothing special about any of it -- I had already purchased the correct box and packing materials there at the post office that day. The only thing remotely unique was to include a label indicating that it's cremated remains, but their information indicates it can be printed by the people at the post office when mailing the box. I spoke with a customer service rep this morning and they confirmed that what I read online is correct and that the people at this post office should've had no problem helping me mail this. I put in a formal complaint about this terrible experience and would highly recommend others do the same if they also run into such bad service. There is no need for rudeness or unprofessionalism, especially at a delicate time where someone is already dealing with the passing of their mother.
Ronda older white woman at the front desk was particularly rude when I came in to do my FBI fingerprint background check. She wasn’t masked when I came in, no PPE personal protective equipment, and she was very combative. When asking about the fingerprinting process she repeatedly cut me off and raised her voice at me. She told me to come back at 10 am to do the fingerprint process and I left shaken, in shock of being treated in such a demeaning manner. Luckily when I came back in, I was next in line to be helped, but she put a “see next station” sign and left. I was assisted by a lovely Asian woman hence the additional star. But this initial interaction left a very bad taste in my mouth.
My family shipped my package to me, they don’t even know where the package is. After a few days, I called them again and they told me that they were going to hold my package at their place. However I called them again if I can go there and pickup my package, you know what, they retuned my package to the sender! They told me they have nothing to do but wait. Incredibly disappointing. How come they don’t know where my package is and lied to me at the same time until they found my package at the custom to be returned to their sender. I don’t even want to give 1 star.
I was sending a couple clothing and PPE to my sister and daughter in law since last year and I go to different locations while running my errands. And my friend suggested to go to the location in sodo because it’s closer and better parking. But I was not happy with the white female staff that is so rude compared to other locations that I had been to, she is nice to other white customer and because I am an Asian she is being so rude. I am in line waiting other people she helped, she changed her face so quick when it’s my turn and also other races. She even yelled at the other staff complaining I gave her a heavy shipping box. I will never go to that location again.
Horrible service. Especially one older white woman who works there. Employees evidently think part of their job description is being as combative and argumentative as possible, while delivering lectures on made up magical USPS rules about how my package violated sacred postal service rules.
