Perpetually understaffed although it's no fault of the people at the front desk. They are the ones who get to feel the wrath of the community during the holidays when the lines stretch out the door because it is so grossly understaffed. But it's not their fault. It's poorly managed. The postmistress needs to do more than count days until retirement; she needs to do a better job. Cobwebs hanging from the ceilings have been there for ten years. Winnemucca is not a one horse town anymore, and hasn't been for decade; it requires a more professional PO that's up to serving this growing community and it's postal demands. It starts at the top,  not the bottom. I try to be patient with the staff at the counter but it's frustrating and I am sure they are frustrated, too.

This is BY FAR the worst post office I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Huge lines out the door are the norm, poor training and bad attitudes. Go to the post office in Winnemucca Nevada before you decide how badly you want these same government people running your healthcare, you’d be long in the grave before you even saw the waiting room.

Lady that helped me was very rude and had attitude to a very serious matter I needed to get taken care of. Would not listen to what I was saying. Had to repeat myself many times. Felt like she was just trying to push me on my way.

There phone has been busy all morning. Letter is a a week late. Dear winnamucca WAKE UP. I have important mail I need to register this car that I'm driving illeagally. If your going to be late, you should at least have the curtousy to pick up the phone and explain why.
