For 2 years at this address I have received packages from Amazon Prime. Yesterday a package was supposed to be delivered and was returned as attempted but had problem. I can’t understand what that problem could have been, as I was home all day and the address is the very same address that has been used for the last 2 years without incident. Yeah, the problem was maybe they didn’t feel like delivering.. This Christmas season I am aware of 3 items ( who knows how many more) 2 cards and an important letter from the State that I never received yet others did and the state says they mailed the letter. My friend receives her car payment bill in the mail each month ( also a Torrington resident) she didn’t receive it in December, again finance company says they mailed it. My regular mailman is great and he has delivered delivered hundreds of packages without incident that’s why I am giving them a 1. Problem is that he isn’t always delivering the mail. Also service is about a 4 Times a week deal here we live in a community they will lie and tell you the mail man has been out but when 60 other units don’t receive mail either and no one has seen the mailman that tells you something is up. I understand it’s a difficult job I do and honestly I don’t care If my mail is a day or two later I really don’t but to not receive it at all and to lie about making delivery attempts when I was home all day is just pathetic.

I can name at least 2 times in the past year where I received someone else's package. Addresses are completely different and not even remotely similar. Luckily I'm honest and bring the packages back to the post office for them to redeliver. I can also name at least 2 times this year where they lost packages I had shipped out and I had to submit a ticket to track them down. I sell stuff on ebay, so when they lose these packages I LOSE MONEY. Sure you can buy insurance, but I shouldn't have to buy insurance for them losing my stuff. That should be their responsibility and they should have to reimburse me when they're irresponsible. I can also name at least 3 times where they lost packages coming to me. 2 were eventually found, but one was never found. Luckily the companies I bought from refunded me, but still. All of the packages I mentioned have tracking numbers. what's the point of paying for tracking when you're going to lose stuff anyways? Tracking should be free! And they just raised the cost on shipping!

The ALL mail carriers are constantly handing our mail to the guy up stairs/my husband's father our mail, HE'S NEVER BEEN GIVEN PERMISSION to accept our mail. If he's standing outside they ALL hand it to him. I've reported this to the post master 3x and she still hasn't stopped her carriers from doing it. Today 9/15/2017 a man at the end of my street just delivered a package of MINE that the mail carrier delivered to his house. I don't even know the man but thankfully he's an honest man. Tried calling the post office and couldn't get any where other than the damn computer. Torrington,Ct postal service sucks. Watch your mail they are also ALWAYS dropping mail. We've had once the mail carrier dropped on our porch a neighbors payment to some place.

I frequently visit this post office. Most customers are good, but more so than other places, I have seen here the entitled, unreasonable customers that anyone in customer service dreads. Yet the staff remain consistently pleasant despite the challenges they face. Thanks for the great work, folks!

Contacted them twice to ask for help tracking a package that was mailed there but never received. Both guys I spoke with (Daniel and Tony) were extremely pleasant and helpful. Doubt I'd have received such courteous service here in Queens, NY.
