I have been trying to call for weeks now. I am trying to update a family members ( with disabilities) change of address. I work as well 6 days a week. Can I get through to get this done? NO! I always get 55 min wait time or they are to busy today and just hang up on me. How in the hell am I suppose to update this info if I can't talk to a person????? Very frustrating.

All I want to do is ask one question. I work a ten + hour a day job and this is my only chance to call today (most likely). I took the opportunity as soon as I could so I could try to get my question answered before my patient shows up. I have been on the phone for 34 minutes so far and I have not spoken to a human yet. "We regret that you have waited so long. Social Security serves over 50 million people and as a result it may take more time to blah blah blah". There are not 50 million people calling the Silverdale, WA Social Security office. There are 50 states in this country and I'm sure there are other offices that can speak to the other 49 million people trying to call today. I literally just need one simple question answered so I can move on with my life. I need this information so that I can complete my benefits at my job, but what? Am I going to have to put everything off until Monday and then walk into the office in person HOPING someone talks to me? You have hours posted but are you even going to be open? Because I've gone to the office before too just to have it be closed even though your hours are posted online. OH, WOW, WE'RE AT 42 MINUTES NOW, BUT I GUESS I HAVE TO HANG UP BECAUSE I AT LEAST DO *MY* JOB, UNLIKE YOU PEOPLE. Normally I am one of the most easy going people ever, but not today. Today I'm frustrated that government workers can't do their jobs, let alone in a timely manner. You literally get paid to sit on your asses all day.

I am just calling Silverdale because they sent me something in the mail that said they are calling me at a certain time about my ssi account which I have had for 18 years (I guess they wonder why I am still alive)........well it happens on that day I have to pick up the other disabled person that lives here at Virginia Mason hospital at that same time.....so I just want to tell them.......all I get is recorded messages......and on hold for a long time and make excuses over and over about the 50 million people.....who btw do not live in Silverdale .........I have lived out in the country for 60 years so me driving to Seattle is something I already dread.......she has been there several day now and wants to come home.........and btw I am typing this with one hand while holding the phone listening to repeated words over and over.........and I imagine when a human answers they will either switch me to another person or not have any answer or wait until the office closes........I may be able to write a paper about the mystery of gravity* before this phone gets answered......or get Nikola Tesla to tell me how to transfer electricity without wire.........maybe find another *God Particle* that goes beyond the Higgs Boson* ..........maybe get Stephen Hawking on the phone from Cambridge...................

Today (Friday) a 55+ minute anticipated wait time to speak with someone just to make an appointment. I called at 11:45 Wednesday and also was told 55 minutes to speak with someone to make an appointment. Around 12:30 I looked at their web page and discovered that office CLOSED for the day at noon. Here I was still on hold with their terrible music and periodic messages about how sorry they were that I was having to wait so long to talk with someone, 30 minutes after the office closed for the day. I guess they would leave me on hold until the office opened for business at 0900 the following day. Pure BS !! OUR TAXES HARD AT WORK FOR US!!!!!

I understand why you were closed yesterday because the snow was wild out there, but for you to open an hour later than normal today is beyond me. The roads are fine. If you can have someone come in to tape up a sign that you'll be open an hour later, then you can open up your office. I'll have you know that I'm missing my friends funeral because you guys decided you could get up an hour earlier to make it into work. I would go but this is something that has to get done TODAY considering the weather yesterday wouldn't allow me to. I just don't understand what an hour different is going to make for you guys. I work at a cellphone store and we are open on time today and it's three blocks away. Get it together.
