Went in today to change my name. Security was REALLY rude! They treated me poorly. Instead of asking me if I needed help, I was told to “not cross the red line the next time I come in” I was waiting to ask someone how to check in and where since people were just standing around the same area I was in probably wondering the same thing. Once I figured out how to check in, another security guy asked me why I was standing around and needed to take a seat! Dude, this is my first time here, I’m trying to figure out where the hell I am supposed to wait. He then said “well the lobby is obviously full” Yes, I see that so obviously I need to wait outside. My number was finally called within 5 minutes. The girl who helped me (I wish I remembered her name) was so helpful and awesome. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. She was such a breath of fresh air being there. I hope I NEVER have to step foot in that place ever again!!!!!!

I arrived a half hour early on a Wednesday and there was already a long line ahead of me. I was about the 30th person in line. Once the doors opened though everything went smoothly. Checking in was a breeze and I was assisted by a very nice person who was cheerful and smiling. The entire staff was great, including the two security guards, and they were heavily staffed. All said and done I was out of there in a half hour to get my new social security card after a name change. Very efficient experience.

Terrible. Tried to call, 45 minute phone wait, no thanks. Tried to go there, line of people waiting outside. Mailed in the documents to be changed, no response in 20 days. Trying to call again, insulting, time wasting phone tree to try and get to a person. What a nightmare. Government waste and ineptitude at its worst. 20 minutes still going thru the phone tree. A poster said to make an appointment, ITS NOT POSSIBLE!! Why would you write that and mislead people??? HOW DO YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT? Not possible on website or phone! Follow-up, after trying to call again and wasting 15 minutes going through another phone tree, message says no one available and hangs up! Worst run government agency of all time! Despicable.

Takes more then an hour and a half! I had one person infront of me and i waiting 2 hours before they called the number before mine. Then another 45 min to call my number. I despise going here, id rather go to the DMV

They called ahead to confirm appointment and helped my mom out immensely. The place is very busy but the gentleman Robert who helped us was very optimistic and kind and moved us along very quickly.
