I have mixed feelings. The person at the counter was polite, quick and efficient. It was an easy experience. However, the rating is based more on the security guard & the policy of making people wait in the hallway and not being able to sign in when they arrive. I understand that it is likely not the security guard, but more so a policy the SSA office has chosen to adopt, but it's pretty poor. If it was strictly about the room being too crowded I could understand asking people to wait in the hallway, but there's no reason to not let them sign in first and then go back out to wait. The only reason I can see for not letting them sign in until they're allowed in the room would be to reflect shorter wait times (when you sign in, the ticket is date and time stamped), and if that's the case, that's not right.

In and out within a half hour. The security guard was nice and making jokes, made waiting seem very quick. Ladies at the window very nice and helpful!

Gone yesterday to apply for SSN. This was my first visit to SS office. Nice people & wonderful customer handling.

Is a small place. Some people need to wait outside or in the hall. And security guard is very rude. But the person in the window is very polite and kind. They always help me.
