Make sure you bring EVERYTHING with you. Even if they don't ask for it. We had our ID's but since it did not match what was on the appointment sheet, they would not accept it. We told them that we furnished both names on the application and that one of those names was on the ID but they still would not accept it. If they would have told us to bring our Marriage License to verify the name on the ID, we OBVIOUSLY would have done that. Who wants to drive 1 hour and 15 minutes and not accomplish what you set out to accomplish. By the way USCIS how can someone get a government ID when they are not a citizen or have a green card?

As of the time of writing this review, May 2016, the USCIS Manchester Field Office is short staffed in terms of covering the information window. I would recommend checking out the USCIS Infopass website to schedule an appointment, especially if you are coming from some distance away. There was a time when you could book a same day appointment by using the kiosk in the lobby. That is not the case lately; so be sure to make the appointment before you make the trip.

I came in on 12/30/15 to ask a few questions and to request some information, as I was told to come here with my wife in order to have her name updated due to our recent marriage - (which this was a social security office employee's mistake as this step was not needed). When we were called over by the woman at the desk for our appointment we began explaining why we were there. She immediately got defensive and said everything we were told was incorrect(partly correct) and began to question us about where we were in the process of getting citizenship for my wife. We explained we were told to come here just to let immigration know her name was changed as we are married and have our certificate and we needed to get a social security card for health/dental coverage. She began getting very aggressive with us and raising her voice until she was yelling claiming she worked here for 37 years and said that we could not get a social security card until we did the I-485 and numerous other forms(false information) and then gave us a list information that was of no use to us - as we already know the process to become a citizen and was not the reason we came here. We proceeded to the social security office after this to successfully get the social security card despite her rude remarks and misinformation. Save yourself the headache and trouble and go to the office in Lawrence, MA it is a shame immigrants have to deal with the woman at the Bedford office, it is not an accurate representation of how people act in New Hampshire and the United States.
