Great place to start and many opportunities to better myself as a teacher BUT NO ONE in multiple departments has ANY IDEA when classes for professional development are available, which is ridiculous because they are the ones offering them!

I needed some information on updating my expired teaching license and the woman I talked with was very helpful.  I was impressed by how thorough and prompt she was in providing me with the steps I need in order to come back to teaching.  Thank you

I called to try and update my teaching license and the lady that was to assist me did not seem motivated whatsoever to try and help a young motivated person be able to teach science. She showed little empathy and absolute minimum knowledge of appropriate licensing and requirements for certifications. I wish better for our state and education system.

Very saddened, but not shocked, by Natalie Cline’s recent statements. As a POC who grew up in Utah and witnessed so much racism against BIPOC, I’m disgusted.

I was only in the queue for 12 min repeatedly in FL DOE's queue for 50+ min!!! and once helped by a licensing agent, I got very thorough help for my complex issues!

You guys should look into Jefferson academy in kaysville ut.that school is horrible.kids are being bullied not just from other kids also from teachers.kids are being threatened with a knife in the hallway and no one dose nothing about it.the  Principle only cares about her own kids and they are allowed to do whatever they want. Things are so bad at that school and no one seems to care.i will make sure my kids are getting out of that school asap.

I heard that Utah State is removing teaching certificate as a requirement for teachers.  I think that is a great idea.  The teacher training and certification process is a corrupt system because it is an opinion based training and certification process.  You have to follow the author's OPINION in order to pass and receive the certificate.  The teacher training and certification process is a way for someone to make money without contributing to anything.  Every teacher should be encouraged to have free thinking and innovative abilities instead of following other people's OPINION as a way to do things.

So if no one ever answers your call or return your call or emails, what do you do? You need your license but they don’t seem to care. What’s the next step? I’m running out of options. Who can I call and report this to? This is super unacceptable.

Sorry so many of you had a rough time. I know government agencies are often like that, but I just called and things went perfectly fine.  Prompt and friendly
