My friends and I have been recently exploring the local downtown Long Beach restaurants with big appetites and high expectations, and so far we have been very impressed.  Utopia certainly stands out to be one of the best, exceeding our expectations with what has to be the friendliest staff, superior service, a fantastic selection of appetizers, authentic Italian fare, and of course, wine!  You can taste the high quality ingredients used in all their menu items so you might expect their prices would be higher than other Italian restaurants, but they are not.  Add good friends, great food, a delicious selection of wine, lots of laughter, and some very cool artwork, and you have all the ingredients for a most memorable evening!

It was an okay experience. The food was nothing extraordinary the inside had a unique chair art on the wall. The issue we had was the wait for our food. The Manager I'm guessing was the most responsible and accommodating in every way. That's why I'm giving them a 4 instead of a 3. From drinks, to appetizers to dinner...they all had extremely long wait times.

We had a great dinner here just the night before Thanksgiving. Very relaxing place with a nice outdoor dining. The bruschetta was nice but not exactly how I imagined it, the food was good, if I would go back, I would have the seafood linguini. I had the mushroom risotto which was good too. The outdoor dining was going to be close until further notice in the area from Thanksgiving on, so please check with the restaurant before going for it.

My Fiancée and I drive over an hour and a half just to eat here. We don’t even go to the beach after, we just come for the food. This is absolutely our favorite restaurant! Try the the risotto curry, it’s bomb!  Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options! It’s not the largest menu, but like 30-40% of it is vegetarian friendly.  Parking: I mean, it’s still Long Beach parking so it’s hectic, but there’s usually a spot open for us.

This place is an amazing find! The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is calm, and the food is incredible. The risotto curry is  absolutely delicious as well. Highly recommend!!!!  Vegetarian options: Risotto curry!!!!!

There’s nothing more I can say about this place then AMAZING!!! I was in town visiting for one night and this place was incredible. Highly recommend getting the beef risotto, which I paired with the chicken pesto. It’s great that they do half orders on some dishes so I was able to try a couple things. Currently only doing outside seating. Whoever is in the kitchen needs a raise because everything is delicious. Enjoy!!!

Intimate dinner with my wife on the patio of 100 year old bougainvillea. Excellent service by Amanda. Incredible food of Pinot noir lamb chops and seafood linguine.

Everything I have tried here was excellent! Quality, fresh, delish. Fried Artichokes, Shrimp with garlic capers. Lobster ravioli. Going back soon to explore more of the menu. What a find. Daily happy hour. Super nice staff!! I love you Utopia!
