Celebrated Valentine's with my partner here. Our server was extremely attentive and made helpful suggestions on the dishes. I don't know if they always have the duck pasta on the menu, but it was incredibly rich and tasty. Ambiance is intimate and great for a romantic dinner, but they do have a bar area where you can also watch some sports. Parking structure just around the corner for just a few dollars.
This restaurant, by far, is just the best restaurant not only in the Long Beach area, but California as a whole. We started with their delicious hot toasted bread and olive oil, garlic, sweet basil and every other ingredient that makes this a great starter. We then went onto Bruschetta as our appetizer. I ordered the Pollo Parmegiano which truly was the best I’ve ever eaten. My friend ordered something that wasn’t even on the menu, a pasta dish with Alfredo sauce. The Sous Chef, Jonathan, was gracious to not only prepare it, but she said it’s the best she ever had. Our server, Miguel, was the best as was Roberto who graciously packed our leftovers, there was a ton, so we could travel with them back to LA and the food would not spoil. We ended with our Maria dessert, chocolate & vanilla hot&cold everything, which was out of this world. We thanked the manager, Tiffany, for her entire team’s hard work to make this one of our very favorite and most enjoyable dinners ever. Highly, highly recommend
Like Cheer’s Boston only in real life. The food was phenomenal butternut squash ravioli and the Happy Hour menu was top notch. The bar tenders and waitresses were like family, and I swear they knew almost all the customers by name. The conversation at the bar was like sitting around a table at Thanksgiving. If you are in Long Beach definitely stop here, but I would encourage you to walk or call a ride cause you won’t be leaving after one pour.
Wonderful dinner! Went in New Years Eve, a last minute thought and no reservation, I was with my daughter and her girlfriend. We were accommodated immediately, our server Josh was very attentive and he had a great attitude! We had a beautiful bottle of Barolo and a great meal, we were not rushed at all! There was a Great band singing Sinatra - we left before midnight, had a nice time and we definitely will be back! Happy 2022 everyone!!
I was born and raised in Long Beach, and this was my first time here. The food was ok. The service was horrible, and it wasn't even busy for a Saturday night. We were looking for our server the entire time. The only thing we really liked was the beef Carpaccio. A couple next to us walked out after no one even acknowledged that they were sitting there for 20 minutes.
If you're looking for a great Italian dining experience, you'll definitely want to check out L'Opera. The portions are large, so splitting an entree is definitely a good idea. And the wine selection is excellent, with something to suit every taste. The service is top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. The ambiance is comfortable and inviting, and I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We loved the decor of the restaurant it was beautiful and comfortable the service was efficient in Friendly. Only $7 for top-shelf bourbon have happy hour. The prices are on a little high side but the food is all delicious and the service is First Rate dinner for two including two cocktails and calamari appetizer at happy hour, Caesar salad, Seafood spaghetti, lasagna, one dessert and one coffee total cost taxes and tip $200
I’ll keep this short. I am descended from Lombardi folk. I came into this place skeptical. I was happily humbled by this exquisite food. Absolutely amazing. Impeccable service and one of the best meals we’ve ever had.Recommended dishesSauce, Calamari Fritti, Scaloppine Alla Piccata, Bruschetta, Tiramisu
A nice spot for a good Italian meal. I found the service to be excellent but the food quality was not great relative to the price.
Absolutely loved it. Nice ambiance and friendly staff. There was also a lovely opera singer going around the tables. It gets busy around 8 but around 7 it's pretty ok. This place is great for date night or even a birthday. I saw the table next to us have a cake brought to them for a birthday by the staff. I wouldn't say this is a place for kids even though there was a group that brought in their 2 small kids. If you're looking for a quick in and out dinner don't go. This place is set up so you take your time and enjoy everything. Overall we were there 1.5 hours ...not because lack of service but because this is how the experience is supposed to be.
