I originally rated 2 stars but increased to 3 stars because I do appreciate that management responds to each review and comment. That is actually why we decided to stay in the first place.

Positives:
Fridge and microwave.
TV.
Some extra room for storage in the fridge/sink area. 
Waffle maker for breakfast.
Proximity to location of work site.
Cheap.
Family-run, doing their best to be attentive and accommodating.

Negatives:
Did not feel safe in this area of town.
Vandalism during our stay (not to our stuff, thank goodness).
Breakfast area opened kinda late, impacting work schedule.

The room was nice. Comfortable bed with crisp, clean sheets. The window had white, wood shutters and made the room seem breezier. There was lotion, shampoo, and conditioner in dispensers by the bathroom sink and in the shower. And there was a complemetary breakfast in the lobby which included the option for DIY waffles. These were all nice touches that we appreciated during our two-night stay. 

The downside to this establishment was the idle housekeeper standing outside the doorway to our room (which was on the corner end of the building) and loudly chatting it up with another housekeeper. Now. I've got nothing against employees taking their due breaks. But I don't think it was very professional or considerate to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere we had gone there for to begin with. The other negative was that the bathtub had what appeared to be crack-pipe burn marks. (I would think the owners would have fixed this somehow to maintain their good standing.)

Overall, we had a good visit and would more than likely go back again.

Very comfortable. The night was quiet.  A warm waffle in the morning with butter and oozing syrup or cereal. Drink down a choice of drinks: milk, tang, tea, cappuccinos, and/or coffee. Friendly manager. It was a pleasant experience.

New owners.  Nice rooms.  Breakfast, no onsite laundry but within walk or bus. Clean. Affordable.  Centrally located in shopping and entertainment.

This place is not what i was expecting. Its clean no bed bugs no roaches. The hotel staff is beyond friendly and helpful.  The rooms are nice like a studio apt.
