I had an awesome time on my trail ride this weekend - I chose the 2 hour 'Dark Timber' ride, and it was well worth the price! The views were stunning all around - particularly, from the meadow at the top of the hill. I am an experienced horse person and enjoyed the opportunity to relax, away from the confines of an arena. All of the horses at Vail Stables were well cared for, and sure-footed (shoutout to Dirty Girl for taking careful steps when the terrain was steep). Our guides Buck and Shannon were great as well. I would absolutely ride here again.

Had a family of four do the hour ride on July 3rd. Two daughters 7 and 9 and this was the highlight of our 13 day road trip. Very very happy with our ride my girls were just sad that it was only an hour. Views were great. Slightly more expensive then other ride options further west, but I think the views and people make it worth it. Horses were great, Slick, Montana, Poker Face, and Glider. Thank you for a great ride.

Beautiful place but was not thrilled with the customer service or with the pony camp for my 3 1/2 yr old. First, there was an accident on 70 and we were coming from beaver creek - took us over an hour and a half to get there. I called several times from the car to give them our arrival updates. While they were accommodating to let us come an hour late, they would not reschedule so we lost an hour of our $90 morning. While the accident was out of both parties control, they did not offer any sort of extra hour or refund. They were very rude about the entire thing and it really turned me off. They said they don't reschedule and tough luck. I understand policy but also am a huge advocate of customer service and being understanding of a situation at hand. Also, at pick up, I asked how my daughter did as I was trying to gage if I should sign her up for another day and the instructor told me she was slightly timid and said it is usually the parents fault for making them that way. I wanted to tell her my kids natural demeanor is cautious and shy but was shocked she said that. She also told my daughter she is a "quiet one" which certainly didn't make her feel comfortable. At the end of the day I don't think my experience reflects the other reviews and perhaps it was just an off day but the camp didn't really seem worth the $90 and customer service was horrible. I am genuinely disappointed. I have never complained once in my life on a public forum so this should say a lot!! Back to the free pony rides at beaver creek stables!!!

This was one of the highlights of our excursions across Colorado. The staff were very friendly, and the horses were able to navigate the 1.5 hour ride with little input from the rider. The views were amazing. This is a must experience for anyone visiting the Vail area

Ming mar is the best "cowboy-sherpa" of the rockies! The staff was really helpful. The horses did their job by being really stubborn, BUT MING GOT HIS WAY WITH THEM.we had a wonderful time and learnt alot about mountains, organisms and meditation. Your curls are nice too:-)
