To be honest, the Valley Center Branch library should be rated less than zero as it has been thoroughly purged of all classics and noteworthy literature. Books worth reading are not available, even when requested. About a decade ago ("decade" means "ten years" for anyone educated by the library's dismal selection) there were interesting and great books. Amazingly enough, this is the only library I have ever been in that was not bursting at the seams with books. There is so much empty shelf space they actually put books on little book racks so you can see the cover. No one can figure out why this library has so few books, as if though there were some unknown shortage of books in the first place. The lack of books is breathtaking and akin to attending a fancy art show where all of the canvasses are blank. There are alot of great things, though, about this library as the architecture is very pretty, there is a beautiful view to the south, and you never have to worry about finding an empty seat. If you're looking for great books, think of it as a treasure hunt, but you'll have to dig elsewhere for anything worthwhile!

Nice library in rural ghetto.  Loud bass gives you a migraine before you can make it in the door, thanks to local wanna be rapper.  One of the few libraries I've been to where bringing your children will lower their iq as loud bass does.  Too bad the police won't do their jobs.  Waste of a nice library and driver of property values to zero.

Good place to hang out. Views out the windows are superb. The prices at the bookstore are good. The Internet and wifi here is Great. Good place to stay cool during the summer. The staff are friendly and helpful. The programs and events here is always interesting. Plenty of comfortably seating.  Plenty of computers for going on the internet.
