Valley Forge Flowers is much more than a flower shop—it’s an experience.

In the 42 years since its inception, Valley Forge Flowers has developed a reputation for producing innovative floral and garden creations. Guided by the creative vision of Barbara King, the gifted staff not only crafts noteworthy floral arrangements, but also decorates private homes for holidays and special occasions, provides interior and exterior design support, and coordinates events ranging in size from intimate dinners to festively-scaled galas and weddings.

The three Valley Forge Flowers boutiques (soon to be four) – two in Wayne, the other in Bridgeport – have been created to be whimsical wonderlands where virtually everything is possible. The Barn is where you will find all things to do with outdoor living from patio furniture, to gardening tools, annuals and perennials, and more. The space is also used as private events space for parties, showers, fundraisers, etc. The Cottage, opening fall 2016, will be your destination for French Antiques.

In addition to a stunning array of in-store choices of flowers, Valley Forge Flowers also offers its patrons an eclectic range of furniture and accessories for the home and garden. Visitors to Valley Forge Flowers enjoy the experience of just being there as much as the ‘treasure’ they choose to purchase: the “my place” atmosphere customers feel is contagious.

Valley Forge Flowers is a family-run business, owned by noted philanthropist and award-winning gardener Dorrance “Dodo” Hamilton. Under Barbara King’s leadership, the business expanded to benefit its diverse clientele with services atypical to other floral houses. The company orchestrates the design and execution of countless weddings, society and corporate events, charities and dinner parties.

Barbara’s team oversees every detail from linens and lighting to china and glassware. No detail is too small for the highly respected floral company.

Barbara King considers the international consortium of stylists with whom she works to be the cornerstone to the company’s success. Whether designing the flowers for the Academy of Music’s Anniversary Ball or planning events for the internationally renowned figures in the media, entertainment and business worlds, her team successfully exceeds the expectations of each client. To stay on top of trends, the floral artists travel to every major market and auction to find functional, whimsical accessories. And to create the now legendary floral creations, Barbara works with growers in Holland to bring the very best to each Valley Forge Flowers customer.

In addition to praise clients lavish on Barbara and her stylists, Valley Forge Flowers also enjoys the adulation of the floral community. The floral company has received four “Best in Show” ribbons at the Philadelphia Flower Show and four Blue Ribbons at the Newport Flower Show. Moreover, Barbara King is now a sought-after lecturer at numerous trade events and a regular gardening expert seen nationwide on QVC.
