Bought several things here over the years. Always have been happy about decent things at good prices. Yesterday, the customer service went above and beyond. I bought a dining piece in clearance and when they brought it to me, they said it had a crack worse than they thought and gave me options. I chose to wait and have it fixed. It was fixed in 15 minutes and the repair quality was unbelievable. Solid job with screws and even varnished! I feel like I got a regular piece and clearance pricing! My husband was happy too. Thank you for your kindness and honesty.

Very poor customer service. Delivery people were careless and damaged two pieces of furniture - put a big scratch in my book shelf with the blade he was using to cut the packaging then told me it wasn’t a big deal and colored it in with a furniture pen. Then it looks like they put a knee or a foot through the back of the hutch on a desk set....still being given the run around. Nobody is able to help get it replaced or repaired and I purchased and completely paid for everything in the beginning of November. I’m surprised there wasn’t more damage because they just let the other parts drop to the floor, instead of placing them down, like any sensible person would. I think the furniture pricing is fair with reasonable quality, but it’s worth it to pay more, get your things on time and be treated with some courtesy and respect. This whole experience has been very disappointing and I would not recommend this company based on delivery and customer service. Although I am in need of more furniture I will probably look elsewhere. Update 1/22/2018 Still waiting for furniture that is not damaged...I was told the hutch would be replaced and a new one sent with the rest of my furniture on 12/15/17. On that day the delivery men said they knew nothing about my hutch replacement and to call the store. The store gave me the run round when I called, but eventually sent out a repair person a week later, who only took pictures and did not repair anything. I was told someone would call and they never did. I called to complain and the managers dodged my call. Eventually an exchange was set up and the new one arrived and it was also damaged. The delivery men contacted their supervisor who's concern at that time was if I had seen the damage. A third delivery was set up and that piece was also damaged. The store supervisors once again pretended they were not available and I called corporate who assured me I would have a new piece of furniture on January 19th and that I would be contacted to follow up and ensure delivery had taken place on the 19th. That day has since come and gone. I called the corporate office again this morning they are trying to set up a 4th delivery and are refusing to refund my money and refusing to let me speak with a supervisor. I was also told I cannot have a refund because it's past seven days that I have had their broken furniture in my possession. I did not even get possession of any furniture until 11.27.17. I have contacted Value City on the following days, often multiple times since the managers are always out or to busy to speak. 12/15/2017 12/18/2017 12/26/2017 12/27/2017 1/5/2018 1/10/2018 - Store and Corporate office 1/22/18 - Corporate office

This was the first time we purchased furniture from value city furniture and this will be the last. Our sales rep was very friendly and informative and this was about the only thing that was positive from the whole outcome. Unfortunately we were scheduled to have our couch delivered on the day we were getting the last hit of a winter snow storm. Our delivery time was from 10-12pm. I received a call from value city furniture at 12: 20pm (past the delivery expected time) saying that our furniture was not going to be delivered. I was very upset due to us not having furniture in our house, me changing my work schedule around (I also work retail) and my mother watching my 6 month old son. A phone call earlier maybe would have been a bit more appropriate so I was not waiting around? As I talked to the sales manager she was very unpleasant and not understanding and I was very upset. I was not upset so much about them not showing up , as much as the time wasted and scheduled changed around for that morning waiting on them. She stated there is only one truck out and our stuff was not on the truck. I felt pushed aside and like a number after I have made my purchase with them. She offered to reimburst me a delivery credit which our delivery was already FREE!!! It ended up being more of an expense for us because my husband and I had to rent a uhaul to pick up the couch and he and myself had to bring it in and put it together. Absolutely RIDICULOUS! As a retail worker myself I can’t believe how things were handled and I will be sure to spread my expirence I had at value city furniture which was not a good one.

we have bought from here several times most of which without incident and that's to be fair, However the last round of thousands of dollars I have just spent has been lack lack luster to say the least. They delivered the wrong stuff to us first of all and then tried to do it again a few weeks later (when we were supposed to be getting our chairs) That were not on the truck. We have gotten the run around with ties and availability for the past few weeks. I don't like my money being in a product I don't have nor have a clear answer as to when i'm going to get it... I paid for it GET IT TO ME.
