Came here with my friends on November 23 2016 and nice staff they wanted to give me the best expirience ever and they did that I did not purchuse any sneakers but I really like this Vans Store

VERY dissappointed with how i was just treated here! I was just at the Livingston location about two hours ago, which i have always had a great experience with. The gentleman there was very helpful and when they didn't have my size shoe in stock he called the rockaway location to check if they had my size. They said they did and that they would put it on hold. So, of course i drive straight to rockaway because they JUST told us that they were holding them for me. Mind you this was about an hour out of my way.. So, i finally make it to the store in rockaway at 6:15 and see that the glass doors are locked. Astonished, i double check that the hours are listed as 11am-7pm. Nope, i wasn't making that up. It in fact says 7:00pm when i type in "vans rockaway hours" into google. So, one of the employees comes to the door and tells me they're closed. I show him on my phone that it says that the store closes at 7 online. He shrugs and says that the times are listed wrong. I tell him that i am the person coming from livingston to pick up my shoes. He says ok let me get the manager. The manager walks to the counter in the middle of the store and doesn't walk a single step past it. The guy doesn't even have the decency to come up to the door and talk to me!? I found that to be very disrespectful... So, i tell the manager how i just went an hour out of my way to pick up these shoes because we were JUST told at the other store they were holding them for me, and having to pick them up another day would be very inconvenient for me. All he does is shrug and mumble something about the cash register which i couldn't really even hear because he was standing so far away from me. Anyway, after repeatedly asking the guy to help me out and trying to hear what he was saying at the same time, I realized that I was dealing with someone who had no interest in keeping his customers happy and NO interest whatsoever in showing them any sort of respect. At this point i thanked him for wasting my time, and left.. Im not stupid dude. I work in retail as well. Theres plenty of ways to help a customer out if theres some sort of misunderstanding. You could kindly say, "im very sorry that there was a miscommunication here and i will gladly have these sent to our livingston store tomorrow, this way you wont have to drive out of your way again" or even take down my credit card info and run the sale through the next morning so i don't have to make another trip... But he clearly had no interest in doing anything of the sort. So, i guess ill be wasting another hour of my time tomorrow driving to Rockaway again because the "manager" didn't feel like doing his job tonight..
