Very happy with the knowledge and honesty just based off of one phone call! I called there to get some help and maybe a second opinion on my dog and the receptionist was honest and could not answer my questions so she found someone that could. Maria one of the technicians spent over 20 minutes on the phone with me and it was clear she was very knowledgeable and put my mind at ease. It is so nice to know we have them as an option if anything goes wrong. For an emergency hospital I am very impressed.

I am very angry and regret ever going to CAVES ! My cat was having chronic eye problems — excessive and rough itching of the eyes...at one point it looked like it was so irritated it was bleeding a little. I waited 2 hrs to be seen, which was fine. I understand there were other more urgent emergencies before me. When the doctor came in, he didnt even say hi or acknowledge my existence. He just came in and started talking so fast and talking in his “doctor language” so any everyday person wouldn’t understand what he was talking about. At times it seemed like he wasn’t even listening to what I was telling him — I told him I brought my cat to the vet a MONTH AGO, yet he kept repeating back to me that I just brought my cat to the vet earlier TODAY!   Then after he left, one of the vet techs came in and she,like the vet, talked a mile a minute about the medication and directions on how to give it. She told me if I don’t understand to just read the paper and have a nice day. They were inconsiderate and made it seem like me bringing my cat in was an inconvenience for them and they just wanted to get people out ASAP. For paying over $100, I expected better customer service than that ! They could have maybe be at least acted like they cared. It makes me sick I even had to pay to be treated like that ! I understand they are busy, but they really need to work on their service. Maybe take a breath and not talk to people like robots. I will never bring any of my animals there ever again!

We are over an hour away from Concord and we don't have 24 vet care in our region.  Our local vet who we have used for over 20+ years recommended that if we ever had an after hours emergency to call CAVA.  In the last three months we had to call them 2 times.  Both times they were very helpful and gave us good advice on how to care for our 2 year old boxer mix until our vet was available.  Both times they were spot on with the problem.

In comparison we had used another 24 hour emergency vet in Manchester a few years ago for another pet and rushed the dog in.  The hour drive was alarming because of what the other 24 hour ER told us on the phone.  After four hours in Manchester, numerous tests, and thousands of dollars spent we left with thinking our dog had cancer.  The next day (Monday) we got our dog into our vet and found out she had salmonella.

Our family vet told us not to use Manchester ER again and only go to CAVA next time we had an after hours emergency.

My 12 yr old female purebred boxer fell on ice and injured a front ankle and back ankle 4 days ago. She was diagnosed with arthritis @ 11 so she's been a little fragile since. She couldn't even sit up or stand on her own after falling and I thought for sure this wasn't going to be a good outcome. I called here Xmas Eve morning and they said bring her in. I thought this would be our last ride together. That was the last thing on there mind. They put her on some meds & layed out an awesome plan to follow. I can't thank them all enough. Dr. DelGrosso is awesome. They all are. We came home together thanks to them. Merry Xmas from myself and Miss Bella Rose. 😄Bella Rose now... I couldn't be happier... Thank you all again so very much 😁

Our boxer had a bad early morning encounter with a porcupine and was loaded with quills on her face and in her mouth. They took her right back, sedated her and removed them super quick. They gave us antibiotics, pain meds and tlc. Price was very reasonable. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend.
