This hospital is scamming people by charging for unnecessary procedures. If your pet is sick, try to go somewhere else. If you choose this place, question every procedure they suggest. Their goal is not helping your pets but making money. My dog had X-ray, ultrasound and blood tests procedures there, all they found was UTI. However, we ended up having kidney stone surgery a few moths later. Not sure how they got their vet degrees.

Terrible place. I went there on a Tuesday evening. Place was empty but yet it took them one hour and a half to see my poor doggy. Stuff was not very friendly either. They didn’t even apologize for taking such a long time to see my puppy. I we just decided to leave. Horrible customer service. Other places in the Mission are great, but definitely not this one. We decided to go here just st because otger places around were booked or closed after 6pm. We’ll never be back here. No wonder my dog was shaking when we first got there. Very weird since she’s never like that when we go to other vet. Hospitals.

Avoid this place at all costs. They will lie to your face when your animal's life hangs in the balance to try and milk more money out of you. My dog is my alarm clock, yet on this one day, rather than waking me up, he jumps off my bed goes into my open duffle-bag and chews open my prescription of Adderall. I wake up 10 minutes later, see the pills are gone and immediately rush him to the vet. They pump his stomach, give him activated charcoal and some sedatives to control his heart-rate and temp. They want to keep him for the day so I say ok. They hand me an estimate of the day's expenses that includes a low and high amount that they might spend. I deposit the high amount of $1250 and say goodbye to my pup for a bit. After 12hrs the vet calls me to say that she thinks my dog will need to stay another 24hrs which will roughly cost $2k. She also informed me that they had gone several hundred dollars through the money from this morning and needed more regardless of any further treatment. I tell her I can't afford another $2k and, almost in tears at this point, ask, "is there anything we can do for less that would keep my dog alive". Vet thinks for a minute and says "No" while continually pushing their payment plan. I tell her I need some time to think so she says she'll call back in 15 minutes. I consult my dad and sister who are both physicians experienced in treating drug overdoses in humans. Both advise me to take the dog home given that he's stayed past the half-life of Adderall and is stable. I make a very tough decision at this point and weigh heavily my one other experience at the VCA. A month prior, after having soft-stools (2-3 times a day ie not diarrhea) I brought my pup in for a Parvo test. They tried to give my dog an IV of water because "he was borderline dehydrated and oral water wouldn't be enough". I told them no and gave my dog a bowl of water. Note that subcutaneous water is generally given when dogs are severely dehydrated and vomiting is preventing them from drinking water normally. Totally unnecessary in this case and would have nearly doubled the bill for that visit. Now this time when the vet calls I tell them to start taking my dog off any drugs and that I'm going to pick him up in a few hours. To my surprise the vet says nothing to dissuade me which was odd given the severity of the situation. Simply "Ok we'll have him ready at 8". Cut to 930 after waiting an hour in the lobby and my dog is sitting happily with his leash in his mouth. The dog they were worried about OD'ing on amphetamines is so calm, in fact, that he falls asleep in my lap on the way home. He has no further problems and sleeps like a baby next to me through the night. I don't care if you try to sell me things I don't need. I don't care if you overcharge me for things I do need. But when I ask you what my dog needs to stay alive that's when you need to be honest. I could've been making a terrible decision but I took a risk because I couldn't trust the staff here and turned out to be right. That's putting my animal in danger and it's unforgivable. Seriously avoid this place at all costs, they're just not good people.

I brought my cat here. Good service and good doctors. There's a hot chocolate and coffee machine at the lobby while you wait. They treat you well here. The only thing I didn't like was that they only gave me the option of putting my cat down because there's nothing they can do. Per the cat X-ray My cat had lung cancer which spread to both his lungs. :-(. So I had to put him down. RIP to my cat Tiger. I love you and miss you dearly
