Worst animal hospital anywhere! Took my cat here and it was all about MONEY!!! Unfortunately my cat has since passed and now I own a dog but I would NEVER use this clinc again. I remember seeing a different veterinarian each time I used this clinic. I am shocked to see them still in business. Just came back from a walk with my dog and another woman with her dog had the SAME experience I had with them over 6 years ago. As a retired teacher I give them an F meaning FAIL!!!!! I was there only 3 years ago and my neighbor was there 2 years ago and we both feel the same way about this nasty vet clinic.
Received great care and follow ups by the lovely staff who took my chihuahua in for an emergency. Very expensive first visit... $1100 for cleaning and closing an abscess, prescribed antibiotics and pain medication, no issues afterward. Would definitely recommend and return if needed, ultimately decided on 4 stars fair based on the hefty price tag attached.
This is hands down the best veterinarian clinic in Mississauga and area - amazing customer service and professionalism on all levels. The front counter staff are kind and courteous. The vet techs are knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Rennick is compassionate and caring and always takes the time to explain any medical concerns or medication requirements without rushing through information. Joining Care Club has turned out to be a good decision for us - I would highly recommend this option. Our dog Ozzy has been coming here since he was a puppy and, as strange as it seems, he loves his visits. He literally gets excited when we pull up in the parking lot. I think that really says a lot about how the staff at VCA Credit Valley Animal Hospital treat the pets in their care. Ozzy can be a bit temperamental sometimes, but as my 12 year old daughter says, the staff “get him”. I’m so glad this clinic was recommended to me by one of my neighbours. I have also recommended it to friends and family as I know their four-legged friends will be taken just as good care of as our Ozzy Bear.
Honestly, this has to be the best animal vet I've been at. They took me in last minute as my cat was throwing up perfusively, and thankfully, they were open on the weekend my old vet wasn't. The staff are extremely friendly, caring, and kind. The vet explained everything to me up front and answered any questions I had shout out to Tiffany, you're a gem, she was upfront about the costs of everything before proceeding. I will be coming back here because not only do they care about the animals, they understand how high emotional a client can be with worry. I would rather pay the extra money for this type of service. I'll be leaving my regular vet for my pets to come to a ore transparent and kinder serviced clinic. My 4th visit to the clinic I have to say I did not appreciate the staff member in the back commenting on how chunky my cat is right after he had dental surgery the same day. It's rude and unprofessional, especially if a patients owner can hear you. I adopted him at that size. He can jump and walk normally. He's just a bigger sized cat. Also, I really did not find Dr Karr to have much experience with knowledge of cats. I also did not like that I had to calculate medication that I needed to buy at shoppers for humans. She could have provided the correct amount, which I'm thankful now that she didn't, and I figured it out myself because the amount she advised was double what I calculated.
We have had two pets that we took to VCA over 20 + years. I had recently moved cities but my dog was having seizures and I wanted him to be seen by the vets that knew him. I had brought him in twice for this same issue and he was still seizing. I made an appointment to bring him back and since my commute was now over an hour - I was 15 minutes late. Knowing how sick my dog was and that we had been taking our pets to them for 20 years - they turned me away because I was late for my appointment. One appointment. For a very sick dog. The manager at the front desk is one of the coldest people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. I’ve found her cold for years but didn’t want to change vets so late in my dogs life. I had to put him down within two weeks of this incident and I can’t help but think if he was actually cared for in that moment how things could have been different. The comments about them caring more about money than your pet is true. I’ve since found another place for our new puppy and the prices are less than half. If you are in the GTA I would recommend Downey hospital in Guelph. Maybe years ago I would recommend VCA. Never would I recommend it now.
Amazing customer service, guess how fast? like it was _ _ _ _ _ FAST! Very polite and soft spoken representatives. The veterinarian was very thorough and Canadian people are nice in general. Thanks guys ! You guys rock!
Do NOT use this clinic! They took advantage of my elderly mother and her sick cat. Obviously a cat with a bladder infection, and a $1,900 bill !!! Absolutely unbelievable, I am so disgusted by their greed.
I've taken my pets to 2 of the Mississauga locations for over 20 years. They even were great when I had to put to rest a cat I loved dearly years ago. Since covid, I noticed they're more interested in $$$ than caring for pets. It's unfortunate that I now have to look for another vet who will be more interested in caring for my 2 dogs rather than raking in the $$$. In order to get flea and tick prevention it will cost me $1200 not including the flea and tick medication. When I tried to get the medication, I was told I had to get a bunch of stuff done and when I said I couldn't afford it at the time, I was then accused of being abusive to my pets. This is how you treat a long time customer who went through some tough times during covid??? Just because I can't pay your exorbitant fees for administering a vaccine doesn't mean I am bad to my pets. Seriously now!
Really lovely professionals here who know how to make you feel at ease. They are honest, gentle and incredibly accommodating. Today we neutered our foster and we couldn't have asked for more compassionate people! Thank you!
I want to preface and say that all the staff are VERY kind and they were really good with my dog. I would be giving this place five stars if it wasn't for the incident below. First appointment for rabies shot went well and the doctor was very caring. The second appointment was with a groomer, who was also very sweet and mentioned my dog was one of the most pleasant to groom. But we noticed after we picked him up he was sightly limping on his back paw. We figured it was a tiny nick in his paw and assumed it would heal. The next morning we took him to the dog park, and as soon as he started to run, his nail had snapped off and was bleeding. My dogs had never had ANY issues before this groom, or any other groomer for the past 7 years we had taken him. I went in immediately to the vet so they could take care of it. A well priced groom that was at 63 dollars, now ended up costing me a grand total of 230 dollars for an examination, a nail removal and antibiotics. I mentioned that he was problem free before, but the technician just said that was their fee. No sorry, no sympathy. I am very upset and disappointed to see a complete lack of accountability for mistakes they were responsible for. My pet will not be returning.
