Velvet Sky Bakery is a scratch style bakery focusing on sophisticated cupcakes, cupcake towers, wedding cakes, groomcakes, and sculpted specialty cakes.

We proudly specialize in more than forty different varieties of cupcakes and custom designed cakes, from the simplest of buttercream birthday cakes, to the most ornate wedding cakes with hand crafted sugar flowers. We use Belgian and Dutch chocolates, fresh local produce, and strive to use only the highest quality baking ingredients on the market.

Velvet Sky made a cupcake tower with a suitcase & globe cake topper for me for a travel themed bridal shower this past weekend. It was a huge hit! Everyone, including the restaurant staff, was asking where I got it. They had never seen anything like it before. And in addition to being beautiful, the cupcakes were delicious too! Jordan could not have been more helpful designing exactly what I was looking for, and with more than a dozen cupcake flavors to pick from, it was hard to just pick a few. This bakery is a winner!

My first visit, Thursday about 1 pm, I bought a large iced coffee, 16oz, $3. With cream, it was fine though not a standout. I hoped for a pastry but their offerings only included one type of bar cookie or various iced cupcakes, all $3 each.

Great care goes into making the coffee and baked goods. Everything is always fresh. 6 stars.

Consistently great coffee and baked goods. I have never been disappointed. The only problem I have here is deciding on what to get because it all looks wonderful. A true Jenkintown Gem.

I went here for a light lunch of quiche and coffee. Everything here is homemade and exceptionally delicious. Few tables. Feels more like a place for coffee and cupcakes, but it has a throwback feel to the 70's with Simon and Garfunkel gently wafting through the peace.
