The absolute worst customer service I have ever witnessed. I walked into the office, waited patiently for the Manager Sharron to finish her fun conversation with another visitor before she even acknowledged me. When I told her we would like to reserve for two months, I got a response of "oh were booked I'm not sure what availability we have".. Then was given a nasty look and told NO when I told her I had two small children ages 5 and 7months... Then she said "oh so they're too young to run around and stuff" Like what??? Her attitude towards me slightly adjusted when I told her we had been staying at Ramblers Rest Resort for several months, then she told me they are their competition??!! Then Sharron proceeded to ask me what I was going to do after January when we are no longer welcome... ?? Not your business, but we will not waste our time at your dump site. This place is in NO way competition to Ramblers Rest & if you clearly PREFER 55+, please state so before I come in to be mistreated. Us youngins have money to spend like everyone else & I do not deserve to be treated as though I'm less than you due to my age.

We stayed at Myakka RV Resort twice. Their staff is very accommodating. The facilities are very clean. The location is excellent on the River and near conservation areas. The wild life experience in this area is really spectacular. Easy drive to Englewood beach or Venice Beach from here. The traffic much less that other areas of Florida. The reason this gets 5 stars is because the management was so helpful to us getting a site and willing to work with us to reserve a shorter stay. (1 week and 1 Month during prime season).

Amazing campground. Very clean clubhouse with pool table, bath house and fully equipped kitchen on the lanai makes it nice to be able to cook meals so we don't have to heat up our Rv making dinner. Great fishing on the Myakka river at several spots. Well maintained pool and grounds are kept beautiful. Everyone we have met is friendly and welcoming I can't say enough good things about being here. Sharon the manager is passionate and caring and does an excellent job keeping everyone content..very easy to talk to. Everyone seems to have and love dogs and we do too. Pets are welcome here. We have not seen any evidence of any drugs or crime here and sleep well at night. We like that the camp rules are strictly enforced for everyone's enjoyment. Never felt happier in our lives for sure. Visited Myakka RV resort, very relaxing and clean facilities. Staff was friendly and accommodating, will visit again. Large lots and easy access in and out of park.
