Even recovering from the fire this is the best place with hookups in the entire area. We needed a place to stay for a week while on an unplanned trip to CA. Judy was so incredibly gracious and set us up with a fantastic spot for our stay. I was worried we wouldn't be able to get a spot due to the limited availability during the repairs and after looking at the other options in the area was dreading a no. Our stay was fantastic. Judy was just a phone call away for anything we needed and the Peacocks are a super fun way to wake up in the AM! The service here is fantastic, everyone is friendly and it was a beautiful location. We will definitely be back when we return to CA.

Nicely kept and a well maintained campground located between Santa Paula and Ojai on route 150. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Lots of fun things to do. Many hiking trails up into the Los Padres National Forest. Quiet campground great for families. Unfortunately this wonderful KOA campground was devastated by the recent Thomas fire. It was very sad to see it in this awful state but hopefully they will rebuild what’s been destroyed. Our thoughts and prayers are with those folks who lost in this tragedy.

We camp in our tent here on 10/16/17 for three nights. This is a great place for families for there great activities that they provided. Staffs on the campsite weren't that friendly. Love there set up for the campsite allowing tent sites be close to restrooms that provided showers, near the beautiful swimming pool they had and easy access to there activity area. It was really beautiful. We do plan on coming here again but this time with our best of friends who has children. You are also only 30 minutes to the beach so that was awesome. We weren't able to take advance of that.

Great Park. We have been coming here for a few years now. As of August 10th 2017 they have signs posted that it is a Non Smoking Park. I love this idea because we are Non Smokers but it doesn't seem to be enforced or posted. If the Park is going to be a Non Smoking park they need to do a better job at enforcing it and letting people know when they check in and even before they book that it is a non smoking park. The group around us were all smokers and there were no KOA security patrolling to let them know. in fact, one of the employees new the group next to us and the one lady was smoking and nothing was said. Other than that we love it here. Great hiking trails, clean showers and restrooms all though we never use them as we have an RV. If you have kids they have plenty of activities. The quiet hours are pretty good as well. We have only had a few times that no KOA security was patrolling and the noise went until 11:30PM when quiet hours are 9PM to 8AM. If you like to sleep in wear ear plugs as it seems families with kids get up around 7AM and the kids start running around and riding there bikes and scooters and no KOA staff is on hand to shut it down.

KOA Ventura Ranch made our first camping experience a pleasant one. From booking the reservation through Cathy on our first phone call, to having Jose mysteriously appear like our guardian angel on multiple occasions. Had the pleasure of meeting Frank and Lori as well. The entire team is very attentive and will bend over backwards to ensure your stay is an enjoyable one. See you soon. Thanks!
